"My family was disappointed. This house lacks the infrastructure for more than 3 guests."

4.0

This lovely house should not be marketed for 6 people. This house is ideal for up to 3 people. True, there are 6 beds, but not the infrastructure for 6. The water pressure is so poor that you cannot have 2 people using water at the same time. If there are only 2 of you , you could stagger showers. For a family of 6, one needs to flush the loo, two wash dishes while one takes a shower. This was impossible and extremely inconvenient. If one person washed dishes or had a shower, no other water worked. The kitchen/dining area is too small for 6 people; there was a lack of dishes for 6 (no baking or roasting tray or proper cooking dishes-- only good for 3 people). Only 2 teatowels were provided for a family of 6 for 3 nights and if you filled the dishwasher, that was all the crockery used up. Hot water ran out on our first morning due to (I think) prepayment meter running out. My surgeon son who had arrived from a long journey and night on call had to take a cold shower when he got there. Stairs were steep and the house is not recommended for older people as there are not handrails. My family felt that the presence of paintings by the host, with prices clearly displayed on each, was not appropriate in a "home". There were some lovely touches, like the gift of Easter eggs to welcome us: thank you! However, my family (2 parents and 4 adult sons) was much more comfortable in a youth hostel the following weekend ; that cost a quarter of the price of Aurora Tor, had endless hot water and much better self-catering facilities. We stayed in nearby accommodation, Easter 2022, which was much better.

"Perfect location and perfect amenities for a family group"

8.0

A beautiful, cosy home right in the centre of Glastonbury. Kate was the perfect hostess and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. The soothing blue tones throughout the house - matched by Kate's lovely artworks - made for an extremely restful stay!
