Craobh Marina Cottages

The cottages are in a stunningly beautiful location, with great views across the haven and beyond. The cottage was very clean, with modern kitchen equipment, bathroom showers etc and the rooms are spacious. Parking is more than adequate. A lovely, peaceful stay with plenty of interest in the marina itself and great walks around the harbour arms.

Paying for electricity (although this was advised in advance and the cost turned out to be modest). The kitchen could have done with a few things like tea/coffee etc but overall it’s a great place to stay.

What a view! Must be as good a sunset as exists!

There were some nice walks for the dogs . The weather wasn't great but not too bad . The cottage was comfortable and had a log burner which we used . The place was clean and the view was beautiful.

Nothing really, I would have liked the electricity included in the price rather than separate.

The location is stunning, I’m not sure that there was any time when you caught a glimpse out of the front windows and didn’t think wow. We had a brilliant time. Perfect base to explore from both staying put and wandering from the house and heading out. Nice to have a log fire to come back to. EV charger in the marina is handy and no issues charging. The house had most things you need but we also brought a box of stuff that we really didn’t need other than a couple of bits.

Nothing that was a deal breaker at all, paying for electricity separately is unusual but no big surprise at the end of our stay so didn’t bother us.

Location is excellent. Quiet with stunning walks and views. Will be even better when LOFTI has reopened.

Overall acceptable but some areas hadn’t been cleaned e.g. the cooker top, bathroom mat. Broken toilet seat and very few glasses in kitchen.

The Marina and the surrounding of the area was peaceful, beautiful and amazing. The sea life, birds, plants, flowers and surrounding wildlife were absolutely amazing. Thank you.

My wife and I booked to stay at Craobh Marina Cottages for three nights. We were allocated a cottage – Scarba Cottage. The surrounding area was peaceful, and the views—especially from the bedroom window overlooking the marina—were lovely, peaceful and wonderful. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. The cottage lacked a personal touch; even a small welcome gesture like tea, coffee or milk would have made a huge difference. Cleanliness was a major issue. We found stains on the bed linen and bathroom towels and there was visible dust on the staircase, radiator heaters and other surfaces. Bathroom towels were so small that an adult have to use 2 or more to dry oneself. The carpet appeared not to have been vacuumed or cleaned before our arrival – there were still crumbs, debris and dust present. The kitchen floor was sticky and unclean and there was no mop or bucket provided—raising concerns about when it was last cleaned. There was lack of cleaning products and materials for the customer to keep the place clean. Another concern is – the usage of electricity is to be paid to reception at the marina which is not heard off at other booking sites. Additionally, the shower had very low water pressure, making it difficult to use comfortably. Overall, we were quite disappointed. The cottage did not meet our expectations in terms of comfort or cleanliness and sadly - it wasn’t the right stay for us hence we departed 1 day before. There is room for improvements – should management wish for better clientele or customers and not just focus on money. It may be acceptable to anyone else who does not bother about cleanliness or comfort. There are also better accommodations near by which meets the above criteria. Thank you and have a great day.

The marina cottages are in a perfect location overlooking the marina. The cottage was cosy and had plenty of space. There are some lovely walks nearby and the kitchen was well equipped with what we needed for cooking. There's a dishwasher and washing machine which were handy.

Unfortunately, the kitchen doesn't have any of the basic ingredients (salt, pepper, oil etc) so we needed to go and get those. The nearest shops are in Oban, roughly 40 minutes drive. You need to pay additional for the electric you use, and it's very cold in January so we needed the electric heaters on constant! There is a wood burning stove with free logs, however it didn't seem to put out much heat into the room.
