Host & Stay - Greengate Cottage

lovely location and spacious accommodation. good bedding and bath towels. generally well equipped with plenty of plates/glasses/cutlery etc.

smell of drains in downstairs shower room. lack of oven gloves/hand towel/only one tea towel in kitchen. plenty of saucepans etc but some not very clean.

The size and the location.

The smell of kerosene! So bad we had to have windows and doors open for our safety.

Lovelly character cottage in stunning little village.

Roof leaking into end bedroom, carpet water stained and bucket catching drips on arrival. Mentioned in comments book 4 months prior to our stay. Waste pipe in living room ceiling leaks onto u when sat on sofa when bath plug pulled. Downstairs shower room dirty. Kitchen drawers dirty. Alot of cobwebs.

Every room had a clock, but none of them told the time.

The cottage was nice and spacious in a lovely village

We enjoyed our stay but this cottage isn’t child friendly for children under 5 years old I would say due to steep stairs and different levels between the living room and kitchen area and also the garden had steps we had a 4 year old with us a 19 month old and a 5 month old so was a bit difficult at times

Charming cottage in idyllic village with plenty of space and lots to do.

Only thing for us not being from Europe was figuring out how to consistently heat the home. Was fine most of the time but sometimes a bit of a struggle.
