Hill Cottage

The location was perfect, a lovely quiet street so very peaceful, close to the main street and easy to access the surrounding areas. Lots of local bars and restaurants in walking distance and plenty to do and see. There was everything you needed which was really thoughtful, tea bags, coffee etc, toiletries, utensils, even tin foil, extra towels, dish soap etc, all very handy. The bed was incredibly comfortable, all the rooms were a really good size and the sofa was great for evenings watching the TV. Nice and cosy cottage.

Definitely needs a decor update. The property does look a bit tired, unfortunately it's starting to look a little grubby even though it was clean, which is a shame (no issues with cleanliness). The shower was a bit temperamental and squirted water out from everywhere, rust, peeling paint and mould starting to appear in the bathroom. Although this isn't the property or the hosts fault, there was a very strong smell of weed coming through the windows every night so we did have to keep the windows closed which wasn't ideal as it got a bit hot. The TV could do with an upgrade so guests can watch Netflix / Prime etc as there isn't much on standard TV!!

Parking was a little complicated but we worked it out. Could use a panscrub or brush for dishes. But otherwise well equipped for our needs.

Musty smell

When arrived. Stopped our car outside to access key and take luggage in. First, had to move because irate resident wanted past in her car. Second, thirty seconds after pulling up to door for second time, woman next door came out saying 'you cant park there'. We were not parking, we were attempting to unload ! Property unsuitable for anyone with any mobility issues. Steep stairs with no bannister. Bath with no hand rail etc etc. To top it all, stench of 'weed' smoking from next door. Had to park car on another street. No back door/garden. Never saw host to raise concerns.

Had everything needed for a holiday stay, but would be substandard as living accommodation.

Parking adjacent not possible. Trad house with poor amenity, single front aspect, no rear garden or view. Stairwell is narrow and steep with no bannister, potential hazard for kids and old people in particular.

Lovely property, great value for money and very close to the Main Street. No issues with parking as there was always availability on Cold Street.

We stayed for two nights mid week. Hassle free booking, clean & tidy little house in great location for Haworth main st , the Bronte parsonage and plenty of pubs and shops…. Loved the area and will be back.
