Host demanded £200 via bank transfer before access or instructions to find the property. Phoned BDC who said payments are facilitated by BDC and hosts shouldn't be asking for more money via bank transfer. Host rejected cancellation.... chargeback via cc.... avoid sending any money unprotected to anyone. Lucky escape in this case...

Absolutely nothing. The reply from the owner is lies - we can provide proof that we left early and we even told him and he acknowledged it!!! The house was filthy!!! The photos speak for themselves!

I can’t believe this house is listed on booking.com! Shocking! The house is unsafe. Absolutely filthy. The stair carpet is coming away meaning the sharp tacs are showing. (And I caught my foot on one) One teaspoon for the whole property to use Towels drying on fabric chairs in the conservatory meaning it stunk and the room was unuseable. The beds were like laying on a prison floor. Tvs in the bedrooms but no Ariel, no remotes. Ariel on the tv downstairs kept falling off the window. The rug in the lounge was rock solid and I dare to think what is lurking in there. The curtain poles are hanging off the walls, curtains don’t close as too small, one full lengh mirror in the whole property. Stairs in one room which lead up to another room which was filthy, toe clippings and toys everywhere. No outside light. Wallpaper marked and ripped, bath panel falling apart The house isn’t fit for purpose. We didn’t even stay the full 3 nights it was so bad…. Host also requested an extra £45 as we mentioned our friend may stay ONE night (we had space for 5 people and with the friend it was 4) the absolute audacity for the host to take a £150 security deposit when there’s nothing in the house worth a tenner never mind £150.

Great house in a perfect location for our needs. Ryan the host was very quick at responding and was more than willing to arrange any requests. Would highly recommend the property.
