Lovely location, full of character.

The house felt plusher and more wholesome in real life than the photos suggested, and after the journey the location felt really special. It was cosy enough despite cold weather, v spacious bedrooms, gorgeous views, very friendly host to welcome us which helps in an isolated location I think. The double bed was super comfy, lovely garden where we played croquet, good kitchen facilities, some lovely period details in the building. Lots of wildlife outside - pheasants, red kites, deer, hares.

We normally prefer to let ourselves in, though actually the host was lovely and it felt reassuring in such an isolated spot. Not enough sofa/armchair space for 4 to relax together, and the downstairs room hears every sound from living space. A little drafty on a windy weekend.

A very well equipped comfortable cottage. Great garden. Comfortable accomodatation. Lovely hosts.

A bit out of the way but lovely nevertheless. It was a bit further time-wise from the beaches than I expected. The narrow lanes are tricky, so need to be taken slowly, particularly as some of the locals don’t.
