Domaine du Prieuré avec Piscine Ancien Couvent & Presbytère

The property itself is magnificent, really spacious and beautifully decorated. The outdoor space is also really beautiful, relaxing with loads to do. The staff are incredible, amazing hosts, probably the best I’ve experienced!

The only complaint I could find would be the loose tiles on the staircase, but in a way that adds to the charm.

Everything! We absolutely love Domaine du Prieure. We were very kindly upgraded to the three bedroomed gite and it was just the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed in. It was a wonderful surprise, as it was my husband’s 50th birthday. The bedrooms are just beautiful. The sense of space is incredible. Each bedroom took our breath away and each even more beautiful than the last. The decoration is stunning and eclectic. This is all down to Sabrina’s artistic flair, eye for up-cycling, Spanish, French and Mexican influences and her eye for making all things beautiful. Benoit makes all her thoughts and drawings become a magical reality! Our hosts were just fantastic, catering to our every need. Sabrina’s home-made breakfast and dinner were just sublime (and beautifully presented, of course!). We didn’t have a car during our stay. So Sabrina and Benoit helped us to arrange takeaway deliveries and Benoit even collected croissants and bread for us on the way back from the school-run. We were also able to borrow bikes to cycle to the next village. We had the most amazing stay and are already making plans to return.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like!

The Presbytère is very charming, whit lots of attention to detail, which we loved. We also rejoiced over Sabrina's food, which was absolutely delicious! We had both dinner and breakfast, and they were the best meals so far this week. Sabrina also suggested nice spots for us to visit on our way to Avignon, and we spent the morning in Minerve and had lunch on the shores of le canal du Midi in Le Somail.

You need a rental car if you want to access the Old City of Carcassonne and, in general, to get around the region. The hosts are just wonderful and the historic house and setting are magnificent. I wish all apartment/home rentals were as easy as this!

very unique historic building with interesting interior design and full equipment. very friendly hosts and amazing food (dinner and breakfast). oh, and the pool too 🙂

lovely location near airport and car or taxi ride inti Carcasonne

Sabrina & Benoit welcomed our family and made sure we had anything we needed. The property is perfect and spacious for a family. The pool is a great place to spend a lazy day with the kids and is child friendly. Carcassonne is a place that we would highly recommend if you haven't visited, with both the city and the medieval castle, there is a lot to do. We will be back to stay at Le Couvent again for sure!
