Beautifully Converted Chapel

The conversion was lovely. We have stayed in the area many times and it is idyllic

Only negative was the cleanliness of the kitchen (didn’t look like it had been cleaned since previous guests left/ stained tea towels and dish cloths etc) I am not house proud but had to clean kitchen before use.

Our reservation was confirmed on Booking.com, yet after five hours of driving, we arrived around 8:00 PM in very cold weather as a family, with our 7-year-old child. Despite the confirmed booking, we were not given the key and were told the accommodation was not ready. Soon after, the host stopped responding to our calls completely. As a mother, being forced to spend the entire night in a cold car with a child was extremely stressful and unacceptable. This experience shows a serious lack of responsibility and professionalism. I do not recommend this accommodation and strongly advise others to avoid booking it.

Peaceful location and lovely walks. A good sized home with all facilities needed. Loved the mezzanine, great space for reading.

It’s quirky - was probably lovely when first converted

First impressions of brambles growing over the windows, mossy green filthy door mat and cobwebs on the front door lock were not a great start. Plus having to move multiple rubbish bags to get into parking bay! This sad neglect continued inside with multiple spiders building multi story cobwebs inside everywhere. Kitchen cupboards needed cleaning before anything could be put away. Thick dust on multiple surfaces. Multiple stains on carpets and upholstery. Unable to shut toilet door due to sticking on floor. Shower needed repair of multiple tiles and no working extractor. Tried to get a response from the owners to address issues but without any acknowledgment from them. This was not a holiday home and we could not wait to leave! We left after 5 nights having secured another property for the remaining stay.

Don't stay here it's terrible 😫

It was derty with dust and derty evry were. The bathroom door was bto and would not shut the floor tiel was broken with sharp edge. The beds were damp with hair and stains. It was in an overall bad state of repair. Thay said it was cleaned but it was disgusting........

The location, if you can drive very narrow single lane roads. The place looks nice like inside if you squint but not look up close. With a lot of work it could be a nice stay, but it is beyond disrepair

We arrived Monday were told the cleaner had finished earlier so we were able to check in at 1pm. It looked like the cleaner had better things to do. Dirty towels were left out, dirty mops and there was grub, grime and cobwebs everywhere. We noticed there was no light in the damp excuse of a wet-room, also the wifi was off. We contacted the owner to be told they will get in contact with the cleaner to work out why the sensor light wasn't coming on. Apparently there were spare bulbs in the cupboard in the "curtained off bedroom". It was locked with a keyed padlock and we were given a code for.. a keyed lock. That night we decided to not let it mire our holiday and sort it out the next day. That night and the rest of the week we had cold showers in the dark and had to leave a light on in the hallway so we could partially see. There were four adults so this was a nightmare. Oh the bath upstairs.. we had to boil the kettle multiple times to so our young child could have a bath. The next day we contacted booking, it was freezing, damp and showering in the pitch black with all the grime was a welfare issue. We were offered to end our stay and get a refund, relocate or get some cash back. We opted to relocate, We never got a reply from booking until we returned as "it didn't get passed on to the correct department at booking" Monday until Saturday we were sent around in circles, no issues were fixed. The place was freezing and at the end of July. We were told there were logs for the fire, there wasn't so we had to go and buy a load. The days rotated on false promises that someone would come and fix the issues, Apparently there were no handyman or electrician available in the whole country! There were more issues but there isn't enough room add.

Lovely place to stay, very quiet and comfortable.
