Lovely and warm. Clean and well stocked. Great coffee machine. Great shower.

House slightly difficult to find and google maps has identification wrong. Couldn’t see a sign saying for the cottage.

The property details state 2 bathrooms, whereas there was actually 1 bathroom and an additional toilet. Not ideal when 1 female sharing with 4 male work colleagues. Garden was not fully enclosed as stated as gaps in hedge and fence so dog had to be let out on his lead

We are a family of four and stayed self catering.it was at least warm. It is worth knowing that although it is a four bedroom property it is really the size of a two bedroomed house. attic converted to a v small bedroom and living room used as bedroom. Many things let it down generally that would be easy to fix with a little investment in time and money.

when we arrived there was a horrible smell as if the people before us had been smoking inside. the kitchen desperately needs replaced - dishwasher whilst it works makes a dreadful noise. there is only and island with the most uncomfortable bar stools and at a push we fitted four of us round it. generally the kitchen facilities are poor the oven and microwave took forever to cook anything (we worked out kitchen must have been fitted a long time ago and things have moved on considerably since then!) the hob was electric and wasn’t much better. Generally the kitchen was poor - we had to buy a pan that was big enough for cooking for 4 people and when we arrived some of the cutlery and glass ware was out away dirty , the knives were blunt…. there was one chopping board…..need we go on… the coffee machine didn’t fully work- ok for black coffee but it didn’t work for white coffee and cashed each time saying it needed descaled. bedrooms - all the mattresses are super soft and uncomfortable - not ideal and they need replaced. The bathroom - shower ok good and powerful but worth knowing it’s an older style fit and you have to climb over the bath fine for us but wouldn’t be great for a lot of people . bathroom seals were mouldy and it generally needs replaced as the bathroom is very dated. the garden - was desperately needing some attention bushes overgrown at front and back and tonnes of weeds and grass not cut pots all full of weeds too - not what you want to look at in holiday ( TG we were there for a swim meet) overall investment needed.

Fantastic welcome (milk in fridge would be most welcome/instead of wine). Very warm, relaxing and welcome book and emails awesome. Restaurant across road absolutely perfect.

Access could be made clearer. Number on street gate would be useful. Only issue was hot water in shower. Perhaps double bed on first floor could be replaced. Still comfortable though.

The decor overall was nice and homely. There were plenty kitchen utensils and facilities to cook with. The cottage was warm and heating easy to operate. nice touches, bottle of wine and biscuits left by our host.

Unfortunately we found nearly all the mattresses were uncomfortable. The couch had little support and was not very comfortable either. No hand towels were provided in the bathrooms which seemed strange. Had we had a better sleep I would have rated higher.
