"unfinished, uncomfortable, unclean. Not worth the money. Don't believe the reviews"

2.0

The bedding and towels were clean.

There was no comfort to be had anywhere, except in the bed. Nowhere to relax as the seating is poor quality and uncomfortable. Not enough places to sit and be comfortable. I can't imagine how a family would come and stay and be comfortable. The property clearly hadn't been cleaned. We had to clean the dishes, cups and cutlery before we used them. One of the pans clearly needed to be thrown away along time ago. The bathroom was full of spiders and spider webs. The tables were full of dust. There was thick dust in most nooks and crannys. Especially in around on the radiators. The bath wasn't clean. The shower curtain wasn't clean. The shower head was dirty. The pipes to the shower were loose and tie wrapped. The taps in the bathroom sink were loose. The carpets were really old and rough. Theres not even a rug in the front like the picture. The whole house smelt dusty, musty. Only some of the windows could be opened. The back door remained locked with no key and couldn't be opened. So there is only one way in and out of the property. The handle to the front door on property was loose and missing screws and had cracked panes. Really anyone could have got in with ease. There was no fan over the hob so when we cooked the house filled with the smell of the cooking and smoke. The property is cold and damp and unwelcoming. The stairs are unsafe. Especially if you have a young family staying. No normal TV only streaming services. No TV upstairs. The path leading up to the property is overgrown and could be difficult to navigate for some, especially with luggage. It was like staying in a house that you would pay to look at in the national trust. You'd be quite happy to walk throught it for 5 minutes and say " oh look at how they used to live ". Not somewhere to stay. One night was enough for us. I told the owner we were leaving and why and she replied to me that the house was rustic. Rustic doesn't not mean dirty unclean unsafe!

"Excellent family reunion."

Great views. Warm house. Good internet as there no phone signal for my phone. Opposite the pub which served excellent food.

I was anxious about slipping on the path up to the house.

"A traditional Welsh cottage set in beautiful countryside"

8.0

Lots of books to browse. A great wood burner, made the room very cosy. A deep bath. Waking up to a mountain outside the window. Friendly owner. A coffee shop a few doors away, which was open on a Sunday too. Lots of way marked paths straight from the cottage, lots to explore and stunning beaches a 45 minute drive away

Some of the light bulbs didn’t work. The bed dipped a little in the middle. The cottage is right on the flight path of the Mach Loop and the planes flying over head during week days were deafening which really spoilt the experience for me personally

"Gorgeous little find with home comforts and wood burning stove for Cold evenings"

10.0

The cottage was cosy , in a stunning location, the hosts Alex and Paul were friendly and accommodating. It felt like staying in someone’s lovely home , filled with books and art work and the bath of dreams. Having the Tv with streaming channels was perfect for the kids and WiFi worked well downstairs. The cottage is really well thought out and perfect for a short stay. It felt very safe staying there and location is quiet and tranquil.

"Cosy and quaint - perfect for 5 nights"

10.0

A delightful cottage, ideal as a base for our family of four (including an 11 and 13 year-old), plus dog. The cottage is full of charm, but well equipped, good WiFi, comfortable beds. There were a few treats on arrival which were a welcome extra, and Alex was on hand to greet us and was contactable if needed. A simple but charming property with everything we needed for a 5 night stay. We will definitely return!
