"This property is not suitable to be let out to anyone with bad hips or knees, pensioners generally."

2.0

The staircase does not conform to regulations, the treads were too narrow which made climbing them very difficult for a person in their 80s. There were no safety handles in the bathroom to assist with getting into and out of the bath. The lights in the living room were totally inadequate, you could not read a book it was so dark.

"Relaxing stay in a lovely cottage in beautiful Norfolk"

Lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful quiet location, with easy access to lots of countryside walks with the dogs and a choice of stunning beaches.

Not enough hot water to shower and wash hair

"Beautiful cottage but needs TLC"

8.0

Great having a separate little room for the nursery. The cottage is beautifully decorated and great location for travelling to local areas. Loved the boards games available and how peaceful the cottage location is.

The cottage needs some TLC. The paint looks tired and chipped in places. The wallpaper in the nursery is peeling in some places. The hot water stopped working twice although the host was very quick at responding and advising how we can fix this. The dishwasher was broken on arrival and I think it has been broken for a while from reading previous reviews. The baby safety gate could do with being updated as it doesn’t feel fully secure, fine for our baby who is only crawling but if you have an active walker/toddler, not convinced it would be good enough. The cot come with a mattress but oddly no sheet, we did ask in advance and no measurements were provided. Such a peaceful spot but if you want a pub or something to do within walking distance, this probably isn’t for you as you have to drive to everything apart from a kids park which is about a 10 minute walk. Such a lovely cottage but needs refreshing.

9.0

Lovely location, peaceful, good layout

We loved the property itself but it hadn’t appeared to be cleaned. Clean bedding and towels were provided however generally cleaning levels were quite bad. I appreciate it is fairly rural so accept the odd cobweb but the floors were filthy and so white socks were black and there were a lot of cobwebs and bugs throughout. The skirtings were all stained and the cutlery and plates had food remains on. We were then advised on the day of arrival that the dishwasher was broke, so couldn’t be used. In one of the bedrooms a wall light was hanging off.

"Loved the area as it was easy to get to all the beaches and villages."

7.0

Loved the grounds, shower and the beds. Roomy and plenty of space.

The steep staircase and the sofa was a bit low and soft so not easy to get out of.
