Heale Farm Cottage

Super child-friendly - we were provided with a travel cot, bath, baby towel, lots of toys and even a pushchair! Location is lovely and all the essentials were provided plus eggs from the chickens and local fudge!

A bit of a walk from parking area to cottage

Amazing location, friendly hosts, beautiful cottage and total peace and quiet. The chickens were so friendly we loved feeding them and the pigs. This was our forth visit and we will definitely be returning next year, can't wait.

Nothing not to like about the cottage and the hosts but it's definitely an experience driving down to the accommodation.

A cosy comfortable cottage in the heart of the National Park in a very quiet location. Very comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen with crockery and cutlery. Small enclosed garden with seating area to eat outside. Lovely walks starting right from the cottage, and a lovely pub with great food in Parracombe village a short drive away. The hosts are friendly and left us fudge and fresh eggs, and Jenny even offered to help take ticks off our dog after one of our walks!

There is absolutely no mobile reception in this part of the National Park, and even the wifi at the cottage isn’t the strongest (which we were warned about to be fair). The cottage is converted from an old barn so the layout is a bit “fiddly”, for example the kitchen and living room are separated by a floor in the middle which has bedrooms. However all this just makes for a quaint experience!

Property was excellent in a really nice farm with loads of tranquility and piece of mind. We loved how quiet the place was and the main places to visit were just short drives away. Property was in excellent condition and nicely taken care of, and the owners were also very friendly. We even got to try some of the eggs from the local chickens.

Traditional farm building, beautifully refutbished with all the mid cons. Spacious living area and separate kitchen and dining area, phantastic heating ...an ideal retreat if the weather is not so great. Plenty of walks directly from cottage or a short drive away. Located at end of quiet lane. Owner responded quickly to a query about Netflix.

We loved the cottage itself, where it is situated, its interior design, its ample space, it was clean and well equiped. And on top of that, Dean and Judith are the most kind people you can meet.

Just to be aware, the cottage has several stairs.

Excellent tucked away holiday cottage to go with family and/or friends. Location within walking distance from the coast, all comfort provided (including dishwasher and washing machine), tastefully furbished. Very nice hosts, Judith helped us with sorting out the tick "infestation" on our dog when back from walking through farming land (yes, there are ticks everywhere in Devon at this time, so make sure you take extra care for your dogs if they travel with you). Good pubs in short driving distance around - Black Venus was our favourite by far, but you need to reserve in advance. Perfect holiday for coastal walks!
