Oxfordshire Living - The Bowler Hat Cottage - Woodstock

The cottage was in the very heart of Woodstock, 5 minutes walk from Bleinham Palace. Lovely quality furnishings and crockery etc. Very comfy beds. Lovely dark, quiet bedrooms. Exceptionally clean. Excellent help from Vanessa at Oxfordshire Living, when needed.

If I'm forced to find something to mention, I'd say the double bedroom had a no bedside table on one side, just a strange luggage rack type piece of furniture. Needed a place for water, phone, medication, etc. Space was there, so I can't understand why there is no bedside table. King bedroom had no rail or wardrobe to hang clothes, just 3 coat pegs. These minor things would not stop us from returning - but made the difference between giving 9/10 rather than 10/10. It's a great cottage.

The property was situated in an excellent place, was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. Was a lovely cottage

Nothing really, maybe just having enough shower gel available for the weekend but not a criticism

Stunning cottage with lots of original character . Bathroom was stunning and beds were so comfy . The entire property was spotless . Perfect location we didn’t get in our car at all , everything you need is within walking distance.

There was nothing we didn’t like

just a lovely quiet space to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of touring around cotswolds. it was well laid out, everything you needed available. house was clean and well arranged. bedrooms were perfect. lovely back patio to relax in evening.

Clean, comfortable beds and excellent location. Plenty of local restaurants and pubs so no driving needed just a 2 minute walk. Company keep in touch and are very helpful. We had a lovely stay.

Nothing we didn’t like but it would be nice to see a cheeseboard and cheese knives and also extra place mats to put on the table for hot food and teapot.

Acceptable size for a couple or for three people. Good size bathroom and bedrooms with good towels and bedding. Nice kitchen.

Small things like we couldn’t find any pegs for the washing line or any bin bags. Also felt we needed to close blinds as downstairs front rooms not very private due to path close to house and people looking in and hearing their conversations as they walked past.
