Luxurious House in Cornwall

The house itself was fine. Enough room for a couple of families to share, and descent size bedrooms and bathrooms.

From the start there was no information pack left to explain the parking situation, which caused a lot of problems. We were told you could park outside the house which we did, but were woken at 7.00 in the morning by very angry and aggressive bin men. At the time of us parking there was no car on the other side of the road causing the obstruction. The neighbours also confronted us over parking as there was nowhere else to park. Not ideal as this is a housing estate. If you have children be prepared to have a complaint sent to you, as the neighbours seem to have very sensitive ears, and expect the children not to play in the garden. The garden is not kept safe as the borders had foot and a half high stinging nettles, which stung the children countless times as they had to jump over them to get to the patio. We are very disappointed as we are not a family to upset anyone, and will keep the children in check, but we were made out to be letting the children scream and shout in the garden and play load music which is untrue.

The hot tub wasn’t fit for use, only a quarter of the jet’s worked, head cushions were missing. We found parts of the tub under the water on a seat, the tub looked very old. The shower in the main bathroom was unusable, water just dribbled out. The en-suite in the front bedroom had a leak from the hand basin that was dribbling through the lounge ceiling, we couldn’t use it for our whole stay. Bedding on the master bed was stained, we took it off and washed it but the cleaner called and gave us fresh sheets, saying the stains won’t come out, then I think they shouldn’t have been used. Garden very overgrown, front and back, grass had been cut and just left, which consequently carried into the house. This is a beautiful house, in a good location, it just needs lots of TLC, the gardens especially.

Check in quite late- 5pm Would perhaps benefit from more cutlery and Crockery along with instructions of how to use hob. No engagement from hosts when contacted them during stay.

Place was gorgeous, rooms for everyone and all nicely done

Toilets upstairs are a bit temperamental, no lights outside Hot tub nets only worked the one side

Amazing space, beds were comfy, dogs loved the garden, everywhere was clean, plus the hot tub was a fantastic feature too! Enough parking space for our 2 big cars. Good working showers, coffee machine, plenty of glasses etc plus a dishwasher and washing machine were very helpful- although no washing tablets for the machine but was really useful to rinse sandy towels/swimwear etc after beach days.

We stayed 4 nights, had to go and get more loo roll as we only had a few between 6 of us and it didn’t last long at all! Also coffee- there were 3 sachets of instant and no pods for the coffee machine. Luckily we brought loads of coffee, but it would be good to have basic things like that in stock at the house, especially pods as there was no point us buying pods when none of us have a machine at home.
