"Lovely cottage in great location"

9.0

Lovely cottage. Very secure back garden for the dogs.

Upstairs was a bit tight for someone like me who's nearly 6 foot tall. But nothing we couldn't manage.

"Lovely location but tired dated property which needs updating"

6.0

Great location, easy walk to trearddur bay, good location to explore the island further afield. House is a good size with a nice enclosed private garden. Having a driveway is a welcome factor. House had plentiful crockery and equipment. Some good useful tourist information of places to go and visit

Number of identified issues/areas for improvement: . House decor is tired and dated . Curtains are not black out curtains meaning it was difficult to stay asleep after 5 am and in the downstairs bedroom the curtains didn't even meet in the middle. The lounge curtains would come off the hooks every time you attempt to close. . House furniture is mostly poor quality including sofa with poor support and cushions that don't stay in place. . Upstairs double bed is poor quality, very hard and uncomfortable, actually hurt my hips and had to keep turning. Other beds reported as being ok. . Cheap dated, poor quality furniture with some damage/wear and tare. . Downstairs bedroom contained too much furniture, making it difficult to move around the bedroom, my elderly mum caught and hurt her toes due to this, this is a health and safety concern and should be addressed before someone breaks a toe. We had to move furniture out of the way to help, although not alot of space to move anything. The room looks as if furniture has just been thrown in there as nowhere else to put it. There is a large dressing table in this room in which was that close to the bed you couldn't fit a stool in even if you wanted. This needs to be re-cluttered. . On moving some furniture, it was evident it hadn't been cleaned behind or under for a long period of time. . In arrival one toilet was dirty and needed to be cleaned cleaned before we could use it. . On the first evening of arrival we wanted to take a shower but found the water to be too cold to do this, looking for instructions of how to turn on the water we found nothing and had to work out how we Goulding have warm water, this is something that shouldn't have to be done. There should be clear instructions for all such items. . Hoover upstairs was not in working order as there was a mass of hair stuck to the brush and to therefore hoover, the down stairs hoover had to be carried up the steep narrow stairs. .

"Very enjoyable and perfect location"

7.0

Clear instructions and easy access

Too much furniture in the downstairs bedroom leaving room to manoeuvre difficult. Extra dining table and chairs next to kitchen would of been better to leave it clear with perhaps coat hooks and shoe rack etc

"A true 'home from home' in beautiful Trearddur"

10.0

As an early birthday celebration we planned a trip to Trearddur Bay, a place we hold dear, and could not have found a better place to stay than Cae Grugog Cottage. We felt immediately at home in its comfortable surroundings and the well-enclosed rear garden was perfect for our dog. The downstairs bathroom and bedroom made the accommodation ideal for Mum, who has mobility issues. We had such a wonderful relaxing week in our 'home from home' that we didn't want to leave and would love to return.

"We were on a walking weekend, which meant we required comfortable beds and sofas for after! We also needed good cleaning"

10.0

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped

No concerns - although the upstairs shower was not particularly powerful and may benefit from a different shower head
