The cottage was not fit for a family, broken tiles, very dirty and grime on everything, hadn't been cleaned, baths had dirt in it,bathroom bin full of pads and nappies, the whole place was disgusting and cold, the plates etc had old food on them, just pure filth slept in our clothes ,smelt of dog and dog hair on every thing, smelt dirty, kitchen was completely filthy couldn't eat in it,shocking, I should have a refund,we all were so cold and couldn't use the dirty bath with scum in it, hadn't been cleaned for a long time, had to clean iit just to sit down ,

"Good location"

4.0

Location was great, close to local shop and pub.

I know it is an old cottage, but a lot things were quite outdated. It could also do with some deep cleaning.

"Beautiful property in a peaceful location"

8.0

I loved the decor and feeling of the property. It was really homely and private. The location is perfect and so peaceful. It had everything you needed to cook with and to help make a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the pool table in the cellar and there was board games, dvds etc left so you could have cosy evenings in.

If I'm being picky it maybe needs a touch up with paint etc and the stair gate at the top of the stairs made it a bit tricky to get through.

"Dog friemdly small rustic cottage on Blakeney High Street."

8.0

Great location on Blakeney high street, plenty of paid parking just across the road (and some free on street parking with a small walk). Rustic little cottage with lots of character. The bedrooms (1 large double and 1 twin) worked well for our family of 4. We didn’t use the small Sofa bed in lounge. Dog friendly.

Best suited to people <5’10 or so, as lots of low beams, lampshades and doorways. The cellar with the pool table had experienced some flooding, so a musty smell prevailed there despite the best efforts of the dehumidifier placed there. Tiny shower cubicle, but it worked fine. The open stairway goes up over the kitchen area, so be sure to cover any food you’re preparing to avoid it getting dust sprinkled on it! If you want shiny and new this place is not for you, but we still enjoyed its rustic charm and excellent location. Better suited for 4 than 6 people IMO.

"In short the cottage is so well located, close to amenities, parking and easy to find. Well worth a stay!!!"

8.0

We like how rustic the property was. There are some comments about the stair gates, but these are fine. Easy to operate and good for keeping the dogs from going up. Beds are really comfy.

Although rustic, the property good do with a thorough clean in the upstairs bathroom and my dog was munching on some old popcorn beside the leather arm chairs. The booking information requires updating on booking.com. Upon booking, it states arrival from 12:00 and departure by 12:00. We received instructions from the host, the day prior to arrival, stating arrival was after 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
