"Brilliant location in an amazing location, beautiful property"

10.0

We had a brilliant stay, this little cottage is in the perfect location where we walked to everything we needed. It was easy to park at the pub next door and collect the keys. The cottage is spotless, beds comfortable and we would return

Nothing, it was great

"If you're not bothered by car and truck noise the apartment is excellent."

7.0

Crickhowell is a nice town. The apartment is well furnished and decorated.

On warmer days the windows must be opened but the apartment is feet from the A40, so it is quite noisy while trying to sleep.

Nicely furnished, very central

Windows don't open and close...most painted shut; one in bedroom permanently open. Unhelpful in heat and a fire risk

"Very good"

Lovely period cottage, nicely decorated and the kind of holiday home I love staying in. Beds were really comfy, great bathroom and nicely decorated. Well placed close to the main area. The staff at the Dragon inn were exceptionally helpful and handy to be able to park there.

Hard to sleep with the road noise. It's seems after midnight the lorries come flying through Crickhowell. Also bin lorries at 6am reversing up the road . As there is no double or secondary glazing you hear everything. It's a shame as everything else was really lovely .

Bed super comfy. Lovely bed linen. Excellent shower. Great location for choice of evening places to eat in walking distance and good base for the walks we wanted to do. Eye for detail in the appartement good. And small private gravel garden which got the evening sun.

Weirdly on the first night (Tuesday after bank holiday) the road noise was horrific from 3am onwards (lorry after lorry rattling along the pot holes). We were dreading the next night as we’d already lost out on sleep, but we never experienced it after that. And the bin man comes at 4:30!!! Take your ear plugs and also eye curtains. The blinds were lovely but still lots of light came in. Got locked out due to faulty latch which was not great after a 18 mile walk but compensated for the 4 hours we were locked out. And hopefully this won’t be an issue for future renters! Although the locksmith was nice eye candy 😆😆

"Cosy, comfortable, clean cottage close to all the local amenities."

10.0

The location of the cottage was excellent, in the middle of the town and an easy walk to pubs and restaurants. Having parking in the nearby pub meant no worries about the car while we were there. The cottage itself was exceptionally clean and very nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. Nice bathroom too. And Crickhowell is the starting point for several fine walks across the Welsh hills, which is the reason we were staying.

This may sound flippant, but it's a genuine consideration - the toilet is tiny, and if you're of a larger build you might find it difficult to use.

"Lovely period change in the middle of town."

10.0

Lovely period accommodation, right Inthe middle of this lovely little town and retaining lots of original features, slightly quirky - but everything we needed was there. For our business trip so much better than a hotel as we were able work at the dining table. We had breakfast at the dragon inn which I highly recommend.

For the asking price there's nothing really to complain about. The only problem we had is that we were unable to obtain a VAT receipt for our stay. Booking.com would not provide one for this stay for some reason.
