Merewood House

This is our third visit to stay at Merewood House. Its a lovely homely place to stay and for us a great location to catch the park and ride to city centre and all the attractions. This visit was for my 50th Birthday weekend and I was surprised to find chocs and bubbly on arrival, very thoughtful hosts. Always enjoy our stays here, will definitely be coming back again. Would recommend to anyone

The house was very clean. Location was close to the P&R so easy access into the city centre. There was a nice garden as well. My daughter loved running around the house and my mother was engrossed in the football!!! Very good property for a family and especially with kids where space might be needed to run around. I would recommend it to every one.

Nothing much except for the fact that the P&R bus is damn slow. Frequency is good but keep 30 mins to get to the city centre.

If only it's Pet friendly will be a bonus. As we had to keep our puppy dog at the cousin's place. But overall it's a very beautiful and clean house with exceptional hosts.

Great location handy for parking and ride. Nicely equipped house and well laid out.

A real home from home. Well furnished and the extra touches, such as the blankets so we could sit out in the summer house on an October evening, were much appreciated. The location is superb - a quiet street, but within walking distance of the Park and Ride, so great access to Oxford city centre.

The only issue was the beds were comfortable, but a little creaky when turning over in the night. A very minor issue, though.

We had 3 nights here and the home was lovely and clean with everything you needed. The bed in the main room was a bit small, having the ensuite was great. One of the other bedrooms was quite small that it was difficult to work out of a suitcase. The kitchen and lounge area was large and nice to relax in, plus there was a lovely backyard with a summer house if you wanted to use that. Location was good too - we drove to the bus terminal which was 5 mins away and got the bus into Oxford to do the usual exploring. Parking was right outside the front door.

Just the size of the main bed could be bigger as that room would take it.

This accommodation was fabulous! Nick and Carol were wonderful hosts. The house is roomy with everything you need, beds comfortable, it’s in a lovely, quiet location, modem facilities with a beautiful garden. We loved our stay there.
