Clean and tidy. Handy to shop, pub, coffee shop, Seamus Heaney Centre. Had its own parking space. Good value. Beds comfy. It was small and cosy, and had everything we needed for the purposes of our trip.

A parking space was provided Wifi was provided Heating was available, the house was well insulated and warmed up quickly. We appreciated being able to control use of the heating. It was a nice touch that a bottle of wine had been left in the fridge. Perhaps some milk could also be provided. We found the owner responded quickly when contacted.

We felt that there were areas that could be improved e.g. there were no oven proof dishes, no salad/serving bowl, limited pots/pans for the number the property can accommodate. We appreciate that people may choose to eat out etc. We could not find instruction manuals for kitchen appliances e.g. the oven, washing machine or induction hob We found the seating in the sitting room to be rather low and a little uncomfortable. The double bedroom felt cramped, the room cannot accommodate a chest of drawers or wardrobe. There is a stand with hooks but this was too small to be able to store and keep open a carry on suitcase. Two coat hangers were provided. In order to lower the window blind it was necessary to move the bed. We missed having a shelf above the washbasin to store toothbrushes, toothpaste etc. We thought that in time the owners might consider simply providing a walk-in shower rather than both a bath & shower cubicle. This could allow them to reconfigure the bathroom and enable e.g. the radiator to be changed to a heated towel rad and relocate it so that it isn’t so close to the toilet.

A lovely little house with plenty of street parking available. The host is a great communicator, which made our stay easy and stress free.

Perfect location only a few minutes walk to Seamus Heany HomePlace. The house was comfortable, warm and had everything you need for self catering. The hosts were extremely helpful with information about local places to eat and transport links. Amazing hospitality. Thank you.
