Luxury 5* Home with Secret Garden and Free Parking

The property was really good and had everything we wanted, near to the city and off road parking.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Location was great for us as family members live in surrounding areas. Good local shops and take aways, handy if out all day and wanting food on return x

Lack of curtains in property. The rear ground floor windows (dining room and kitchen) had no window coverage at all. The living room window had minimal net curtain coverage which were very short. The small bedroom had a tiny curtain that didnt cover thevwindow, and the blind in the bathroom was only half the width of the window. If these issues were resolved, it would be a 10 rating and we would definitely return x

Very clean home from home. Stylish and made to feel like your just at home. Great location to city and newsham asylum. Very quiet.

Nothing I didn't like.

Loved the heated floors, the decor, the garden and the coffee maker was a lovely added touch

Not so much us but our dog was scared to walk on the uncarpeted floors. The shower was temperamental and difficult to switch off

This is one of the best holiday homes I have come across. Everything was superb. Location, very quiet place and very spotlessly clean.

The towels were grey. The towels would compliment the house so much if they were white as well as the beddings for all rooms. It makes you sleep peacefully.

Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Most essentials available. Did have some outdoor enclosed space with furniture Upstairs bathroom well decorated overall. Bed covers clean and beds comfortable. Paula was pleasant to communicate with - we shared our concern about the smoke for which she apologised but I didn’t know how else to change the situation other than air the property as much as possible. Entrance to property very easy.

There was sadly a number of things that made the stay uncomfortable, but the main problem was a strong smell of smoke on arrival in the property with several cigarette ends on the driveway. Under the kitchen cabinets (no kick boards) and under the sofa was particularly dirty and the carpets felt unclean. These things are particularly noticeable with young children. A number of things from previous review suggestions haven’t been acted on (curtains not fitting (most notably/problematic in the bathroom), living room chandelier too low and wires visible at wall. The shower is great but water gets all over the floor as screen not big enough. The pictures of this property look great, but it does now feel a little tired and needs a freshen up and deep clean. It looks like Paula is trying to improve the grass which is very worn. The garden needs attention but could be very sweet. There’s no extractor fan over stove in kitchen which means the wall there is damaged and this contributes to the mess under the kitchen cabinets. There’s a lot of nic nacs about the place and the stairs are not suitable for young children which made the stay difficult. In addition the area is not quiet, and the road busy. I would strongly advise that when families ask to stay that this is highlighted to them so they can avoid booking, as properties in the past have highlighted to us which we’ve appreciated greatly.
