Heatherland Cottage

Cutest cottage in the middle of gorgeous scenery but not too far away from Portree! Rooms were so cosy! Had all the modern appliances you need! Loved it!

We absolutely loved our stay here. You’re in a beautiful cottage with beautiful views of some of the mountain. It’s quiet and peaceful, but only a short drive from town with restaurants and supermarkets. It had everything we needed for our two night stay. The water temperature and pressure was great. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal. The beds were comfortable. The heating kept the cottage at a lovely temperature. Would definitely recommend and will be back in any return trips to the Isle

Nil, we loved everything.

The location is perfect because it’s a pretty quick drive anywhere you need to go on the island, but yet not in the hustle and bustle of the villages. Kitchen was outfitted relatively well and the bathroom was so much larger than anywhere we’ve stayed on our trip. Lovely home and would definitely book there again.

Only recommendations would be a pair of kitchen tongs would be amazing and small handheld washcloths. Also, and this might be just me, but be for people that love plants but there are a lot of stinging nettles that are beautiful, but painful on the edges of the garden. 😂

Nestled off the beaten path the cottage provided a bucolic serenity.

Incredibly peaceful with unbeatable views. Washing machine for clothes was very helpful.

It did not feel clean. There were many hair strands from a previous guest in the bathroom, used tissue under the bathroom sink, and balls of hair in the kitchen and the carpet in the upstairs bedroom. A good vacuum and a wipe down of all surfaces would have taken the property to a 10 out of 10.

Breakfast was was not included in the price; however, the host kindly supplied tea,coffee, biscuits and breakfast cereal.

Everything was good.
