Pretty self-contained garden room

Perfect location Small room with everything we needed for our short stay Very private space Friendly unobtrusive host .

Recycling bin left directly outside the private entrance. Which made it awkward getting in and out between that and thorny bush .

Ideal location the promenade and beach was at the bottom of the street and very close the shopping street.

The location, the owners were lovely and the bed was extremely comfy. The thought gone into the tea and coffee selection.

For us personally some more comfortable seating for inside and out. The gap at the back of the bed so the pillows wouldn't fall down. But these are minor grievances. Couldn't really fault the place.

Property in excellent order. Lots of personal items and a lot of thought went into the fixtures and fittings. The owner should be proud of what they have achieved. The shower room was well appointed, clean and modern if a bit small. The room was at the end of the garden and private with a lawn and garden table and 2 chairs. A nice touch were the lights and lanterns. Access via a side entrance so no worries about access. A charming area too. No immediate parking but we found something every day in the surrounding roads. We're not too precious about our car and it seemed a quiet neighbourhood. The harbour was at the end of the road and lots of shops and cafes within 2 minutes walk. Wi-Fi was excellent and we used our iPad to watch tv and films.good selection of tea and coffee and a small fridge with milk supplied. All in all they had put lot of effort and thought into it and as described it is a pretty little garden room and providing the weather allows you can always sit outside.

Our big problem was the size of the garden room I suppose the living space was about 3 metres square mostly taken up with the bed. Only a tiny table and one chair so we had to sit on the bed which was very high and our feet dangled over the edge. I'm 84 and as one side of the bed was against the wall and it was a real effort to clamber over each night. No work spaces and only limited crockery so it was a real problem trying to balance everything. Some information about local pubs etc. and some rather tatty brochures. Usually there are details of doctors, chemists, and other facilities although you could argue we could have asked. Bedding great and a fan because it was rather hot and stuffy at night.

The studio is in a quiet, private garden at the back of the main house very close to the sea front and town centre. The location is perfect and is an easy walk everywhere. The studio is smallish but the bed is comfortable and the ensuite is small but works fine. The garden is delightful and is a lovely place to sit in the sun, when it shines!! It is clear from the description that there is no cooking facilities but there are plates, cups, and some cutlery and tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Fine for a short stay. We found easy parking in the street close by.

Nothing major except there’s only one chair in the studio, 2 in the garden and they aren’t that comfortable.
