Everything perfect

This is a semi-detached house and the owner lives next door so collecting the keys was easy. The host is lovely. There are two bedrooms with comfortable beds upstairs and a proper kitchen and lounge room. Everything was sparklingly clean and well maintained and a lot of it looked new (as at June 2024). There is parking immediately outside. There is a whisky distillery about 150m away! And a supermarket even closer as well as an M&S about 500m away.

The property is not actually in Fort William but in an adjacent town (Caol) which is about three kms away so you really need a car. The area itself is not photogenic. The house decoration is unusual and may not suit all people, but that does not detract from its utility and cleanliness. If you have a car it is a great base. But no views of beautiful scenery!

The host was very pleasant and couldn’t do enough to help us.

Highland Escape was exactly what we needed. Elaine takes great care in this property and it shows the moment we walked through the door. It has every amenity that you need. So clean! It's a little way out-of FT. William (Caol) but so close to the hikes and trails (Ben Nevis). It was ideal location for us.

Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay including milk and juice in the fridge, coffee, sugar etc Bedrooms were comfortable with lovely thick quilts. Shower was nice and powerful … just what’s needed. We were on the end house of a few the owners have and lucky to get the off road parking that came with it.

It was self catering. So breakfast was excellent. Great place close to Ben Nevis. Close to local stores and great Fish and Chip Shop. Pleasant and quiet
