The Bothy - Heale Farm

The place was stunning, so peaceful and relaxing. High quality furnishing throughout and all the mod cons. Plus the added bonus of the waterfall in the garden. We will be back.

Nothing we didn't like but we didn't know it would cost £30 per dog to say, we were happy to pay the cost but it would be great if this information was on booking.com.

Everything! Judith and Dean were amazing hosts, very friendly, helpful and more than happy to introduce and let us fuss their animals (which made our stay even more special) The location is idyllic - remote and peaceful which is what we were looking for. Our dog had a lovely time too and the Bothy garden was perfect for her! The Bothy was cosy and well equipped for what we needed for the few nights we stayed. We would definitely like to return.

There were no negatives as it was perfect we loved staying here!

Cosy, Clean, Well Equipped. Good layout. Ideal for two. Good Sky T.V. reception and WiFi meant we could keep in touch with family.

A little too remote for a couple from a Busy Essex Town.

Wow, what can I say , everything was meticulously prepared for our arrival. The Bothy was already warm , heating on and logs by the fire if we wanted to light one. ( We did , every evening). Immaculately clean , fantastic layout, such a delightful escape to the countryside.

There was nothing you could fault here , if you get the chance book a relaxing break here.

Beautifully decorated and it was so peaceful! having the separate garden was great and the little waterfall is just lovely! It was clean and tidy and there was lots of helpful information about the area and cottage.

I was a little wary about booking a cottage that was so open plan (i.e that had the bed, table and sofa all in the same room), but it was very well thought out, beautifully designed and very clean and spacious. At no time did we feel we were crammed into one room. The bed and sofa were extremely comfortable, the log burner was very efficient and heated the room extremely well and there was a generous supply of logs too. The kitchen and bathroom were separate and very well equipped. The shower was superb too! There was a lovely little garden which was completely private, well designed again and perfect for having breakfast in. Unfortunately it didn't get the morning or evening sun because it was so secluded, just at lunch time, but we still enjoyed it. It was such a cosy cottage and in such a quiet secluded spot, that even when we had a really wet day, it was perfect for snuggling up in front of the log fire and just chilling out.

It was difficult to fault the cottage, but if I was really picky I would have liked a toiletries holder, or at least a soap dish, in the shower. Having to put everything on the floor was not very convenient. I would also have liked an ice box in the fridge to put the odd frozen food stuff or some ice cubes. But as I said, these are very small things.
