The Big Bristol House

The location was excellent - great property to hold a big group of guests. Enjoyed my hen party here the kitchen was a great space to have food, drinks and socialize. Comfortable beds and close to everything we needed. Had an amazing time - close to Bristol, Clifton and bars restaurants walkable on the triangle. Had a great night out there. House was ideal for a girly weekend. Liked the outdoor space out the back for fresh air and people to have the option even though it was small still nice to have.

No bins in each room - could do with these especially with a large group (small thing to add that was missing). Could have been cleaner and building is quite tired needs some updating. Be careful on the stairs. Bathrooms need updating and there was a weird smell in the house potentially from the drains? We weren't at the house a lot so this didn't affect us too much but if these things could be updated the house would be more appealing. Sofa also is very worn in the kitchen.

house was exactly what we wanted. perfect space for a large group of friends/ stag hens. kitchen/dinner makes great space for fun and entertaining. not ideal for families due to the stairs over 4 levels, but house is advertised as good for groups and it is perfect for exactly that. highly recommend.

frosted or opaque cover in lower floor bathroom. felt quite exposed as could see up to street sitting on the toilet.

We stayed here as a Hen Party of 11 women in their early 30s. The property was great for this purpose and I would recommend it for Hens and Stags who are mainly going to be out and about in Bristol (versus doing a lot of things in the house). It is a great location. It was a 20 minute walk max to the city centre restaurants and bars, and much less than that to the harbourside walk.

The levels of cleanliness were passable, but not up to the standards I would have in my own home. Sheets and towels all very clean, but the rest of the house, whilst clean on the surface, was a little tired. For example, the shower curtain in one of the bathrooms was clean but stained with past mildew, etc. For us, and our purpose as a Hen Party, this wasn’t a huge problem. This property is great for it’s purpose - lower cost than similar sized properties in Bristol for Hens, Stags, and similar other friend get togethers.

The location for what we had planned was brilliant. We certainly got our steps in walking around the house. Loved the kitchen diner layout.

For the amount of people that the house can accommodate, the main bathroom could be split and an extra toilet may be put in

only 2 toilets for 14 people stairs are very unsafe not many comfortable space to sit smell of damp in bathroom

Exactly what we needed for a Hen weekend away. The sofa beds in the picture have been changed to actual beds which was great for our group.

There are a lot of stairs and then main kitchen area is two floors below street level. Didn’t bother us but could be an issue for others.
