Rose very kindly met me at the station as I had a large case. Rose also left me a macaroni cheese dish to heat up. I liked the location; there's a good sized co-op within walking distance. There's a nice view point nearby with great views of the Skye bridge. Also, there's a community woodland area to explore. Hector's, the local cafe, is a good place to go for coffee and lunch. The bed was comfy.

The kitchen floor was filthy and smelly. I can only guess that as the property allows pets, that dogs had recently been there... Also, the bathroom floor was dirty. The house was freezing as there's no alternative heating, except for some small oil filled radiators, if you don't want to tend the fire, which I didn't. We have a fire at home and there's no novelty for me in having to deal with coal and wood. I hoped to have a lovely soak in the deep, modern bath but the hot water only filled the bath a couple of inches or so and then it ran out. I didn't like not being able to close the kitchen window blind because there is a shelf in the way. I couldn't log into the internet as the property's provider wasn't coming up on my computer. The bathroom light over the whb and mirror remained broken for the entire week, (despite being mended) so I was unable to see what I was doing properly. I didn't like the harsh dome light in the lounge as it spoiled the 'cosy effect'.

very centrally located with a roaring fire and great shower. clean facilities and very welcoming. it was great to return from the mountains each night and warm up round the fire.

communication and how equipped the place was

When we arrived, the fire was fresh and the heating on, very welcome after a trek along the snowy A-roads leading to Kyle. The property is very large and comfortable, situated well enough away from the main road that it was quiet, but convenient enough that you can walk to the co-op. We were also left a hamper of goodies which was a lovely touch! The property itself is well maintained and has a few really nice touches of personalisation from the hosts and that made it feel really homely and welcoming. We would gladly stay here again any time!

If we had to be picky, the bathroom never really got warm during our stay, and the front door maybe needs a wee adjustment as it sticks a bit, but that would be us being very, very picky!
