The Rowan Shepherds Hut

The hut had everything we needed. Was very clean well decorated and comfortable. Handy for visiting St Abbs and Eyemouth. Lots of nice walks in surrounding area.

The shower was a bit erratic and toilet facilities no flushing toilet but you are in the middle of field but I would not let that put me of going back in the future

The bed was a problem for us as it was a double where one person was against the wall. This wouldn't have been an issue for most people but I have some mobility problems and it was difficult for us. Next time I would book the other hut which has two single beds as I enjoyed the stay apart from this small issue.

Host Andrew provided the perfect welcome, including a full introduction to the facilities provided, and to the wider area. The Rowan Shepherd Hut is fitted out to an exceptionally high standard, with quality apparent at every touch point. The focus here is on customer satisfaction, it's glamping at its very best. The location is perfect for exploring the area, including the magnificent St Abbs Head National Nature Reserve.

There is nothing to dislike here...

The property is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need. the bed is confortable and the views are amazing. Every tiny detail is carefully considered and is exceptional. From the manicured gardens to the super soft towels the experience of staying at The Rowans Shepherd hut will not disappoint. We had a wedding to attend locally and I could not think of a better place to stay. Although usually early risers the comfortable bed, peace and tranquility of the location meant we awoke three hours after our usual time! We were slightly trepidations having never stayed in this type of accomodation before but would not hesitate to do so agsin. The shower was powerful and the supply of hot water seemed endless. I honestly could not fault the accomodation or our hosts, it is definitely 5 star. Thank you so much, we will recommend you to all our family and friends.

There was absolutely nothing not to like.

What a beautiful little place! Cosy, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Worth staying just for the gorgeous view! Close to everything you need, easy walk to the pub or short drive into Eyemouth. We were sent perfect directions beforehand and Andrew explained how everything worked for us. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back.
