A fantastic location to explore Skye and the Highlands west coast

Practical and most convenient for access to Skye for my brother in law from Australia who had not been back to his birthplace for 48 yrs.

Great amount of space for 2 adults and 3 kids. Very quiet and private. Had everything we needed. Close to the CO-OP. Great yard and parking.

The mattresses were uncomfortable for my family.

The location was good if your aim is Isle of Skye because all accommodation on the Isle does get booked up very quickly. The kitchen was appreciated as we could prepare a simple hot meal after a cold day out exploring. Overall still a cosy stay.

The beds were a little too soft but that's a matter of personal preference. The driveway for parking was a little tight. The shower could be better maintained because the knobs fell off even before use. But after checking with host, it was fit back but changing temperature of the water was not easily done without the knob dropping off again.

Alexandra's cottage is beautiful and quaint. It's very homely with all modern cons and very fully equipped. There is plenty of parking and the location is handy for the town. Alexandra is a great communicator and the whole stay was very enjoyable

Cliff Cottage is located a short walk from the train, waterfront, and town center. It's a great spot to stay while exploring the area. The cottage is comfortable but not overly furnished nor fussily decorated so you can relax and be comfortable during your stay. I love the history of the area and of the house.

I would love to know what the structures out back were used for... Maybe cold storage? Anyway, the bedrooms and bathroom are all upstairs so anyone that has knee issues will need to plan accordingly. We stayed busy exploring all day so the stairs were only something my husband had to contend with twice a day. The slanted ceilings upstairs were fun - yes, we aren't used to them and bumped our heads a couple of times negotiating in the bathroom but that was more because we aren't used to slanted ceilings and we' are a little taller. All in all, it was a great place to stay and we would absolutely recommend staying here while you explore the area.
