Initially tricky to find as we were travelling in the dark, but thanks to Madeleine's instructions we were able to find it without too much difficulty. Parking is a minute walk from the cottage, but that wasn't an issue for us as we only needed to unload a few bags from the car. Upon getting inside the cottage, it was warm, inviting and very relaxing. The furnishings were lovely and well suited to the cottage and the art work was "interesting", it got the kids giggling and talking. We needed a place to stopover and get rest. This place was fantastic for that. We all slept like babies and felt well rested. I loved the light pouring in from the window in the morning. Next time we would like to stay for a bit longer and explore the Yorkshire Dales.

It would have been nice to have a sponge in the kitchen to wash a few mugs for tea, but it wasn't a big deal as we had brought our own takeaway cups. The bathroom has a bamboo blind which doesn't offer enough privacy whilst on the throne, but does give you a view whilst doing your business.

Beautiful and cozy cottage in picturesque little village. Has all facilities you could need. Short walk to the little town of Sedbergh with lovely country pubs and cafes. Surrounding area is stunning with beautiful fells, mountains and rivers. Beds were comfortable with plush comfy bedding. Lovely bath to soak in after a day of walking. We loved our stay and will love to return.

Property had everything you could possibly need. Lovely location.

Sat nav doesn’t take you to correct location using postcode. Had to get directions from a friendly Asda delivery driver! Later check out would be preferable - 10 is a little early!

The house is really cute; the kitchen is well equipped, every part of the house has a lovely decor. The bathroom has a phenomenal view. The house is located within a short walk from town, in a calm area, quiet neighbours. The contact with the host was great too.

The following had no influence on the rating provided, but I wanted to share it because this is something we were not fond of. 1. We found a number of dishes (mugs, plates, pans) requiring additional cleaning prior the first use however, I'd blame the previous occupants rather than the owner. 2. We do not particularly agree with the dog fee as the pets don't actually use anything in the house (apart from the floor). I cannot consider this in my rating as the fee was set prior the reservation was made and I agreed to it because I really liked the house (I also understand why the owner chargers the fee) however, just a little suggestion that instead of the £25, perhaps a refundable deposit would be better for cases, when the dog owners fail to clean after their pet or leave any damage.

The location was peaceful and relaxing . Beautiful walks on the doorstep. Comfortable base for a holiday.
