Hatton Lodge

On arrival the property was cold, the heating turned off, We had no toilet rolls in both toilets,the kitchen roll was empty as was the surface sanitising cleaner, also no dishwasher tablets!!! Also the shower in the main bedroom was backing up when the toilet was flushed, Not good !! Sorry but this is Basic attention to detail

I cannot rate Hatton lodge high enough, what an amazing setting. The hosts were great, quick replies and very helpful. Accommodation was excellent, really big inside and immaculate. No hesitation rebooting this place.

Not one complaint other than I didnt book longer, so relaxing!

large lodge with plenty of space, comfy beds and even though it was remote it was ideal for getting to surrounding areas.

The door Matt was covered in bird poo which could have been cleaned before guests arrived; wasnt a good first impression. no Wi-Fi so we couldn’t use the downstairs tv, or use our phones to plan our trip. even as a safety concern, one of my friends staying was pregnant so there was a worry not being able to contact anyone. we feel that basic things like a welcome set of coffee/teabags rather than empty jars could have been provided too but especially disappointed that with two toilets there wasn’t even 1 toilet roll! flooded bathroom due to clogged shower drain, which we had to fix ourselves, vile!

Perfect location for our visit to Pitlochry and the enchanted forest. lovely walks nearby for the family and the dog. Very cosy property, lots of space.

The location, the pet friendliness and the free parking were very good points. Also the lodge was quite comfortable and very tastefully decorated.

Although mentioned by other visitors in the visitors book, we did not have a welcome package, not even coffee, tea or milk. The house was very cold when we got there. It would have been nice to have the heating on. A radio alarm had been left on and woke us up at 2 am. There was a very good TV downstairs but nowhere comfortable to sit and watch it. There was a big pile of bird poo tight on the front door coming from the nest above. I know the lodge is in nature but still, first impressions are important. The patio set outside was really dirty and fusty and needed a good clean. There was 3/4 of a toilet roll left in one toilet and a half in the other. It would have been nice to have fresh ones. Finally, the cleaners- I assume they were the cleaners, they actually never talked to us- were pretty sharp . They arrived 5 minutes before checking out time and rolled up in the drive only to see us loading the car. They reversed out and waited for us to go . All and all, we had quite a nice stay but felt that the lodge had been left unloved and looked tired.

massive space, two bathrooms, five minutes from the village, everything needed for cooking, basically home from home, up close to nature, lovely host, Heather was fab.
