"Great Little Cottage"

10.0

Lovely quaint cottage in a fantastic location, Bakewell Matlock & Chatsworth all within short driving distance. The cottage is in a beautiful village with 2 pubs and a community run shop. Cottage was well equipped, parking was easy either directly outside or on the road 1 minute walk away.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Quiet, quaint & cosy cottage in a beautiful village. Well equipped, comfortable and full of character. The village, although small, has a well stocked shop, two pubs and a bus service 6 days per week. It makes a great base for walking the local footpaths and exploring this part of Derbyshire. Robin is an exceptionally good host. We would definitely stay again.

"Very good"

8.0

Very nice quiet cottage in pretty village.

Parking was problematic, although I had realised this before visiting (but after booking) from viewing property on Google maps. We were in a long wheelbase transit van, no chance of parking outside cottage. The village is very busy with cars, managed to park at the end of the main street one night and near the south car park the other, neither ideal. If you have a small car I'd say you would be fine outside the cottage but anything else be prepared to walk a bit. There are two small car parks in the village but I was nervous of leaving a vehicle there as neither is very well lit nor near housing.

"Quiet and cozy cottage"

9.0

Historic cottage with all the modern facilities you need, bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, living room with TV, comfy seating, books and maps. Very quiet location but in the middle of a beautiful Derbyshire village. Helpful owner, responds to questions quickly and courteously.

Perhaps some extras instructions about recycling would be handy. It wasn't immediatly clear to me what should goin which bin, but admitteldy I didn't call the owner to ask.

Good location in a nice village.

Cottage old and tired, it was a lot smaller than I expected and had a weird smell .

"Compact cottage, in a good location."

5.0

The Cottage was in a very good location there were two pubs in the Village where you could get a meal.

The Kitchen was very small and the shower room was off of the Kitchen with no window and very dark, the towels were a dark green in colour and there was a stain on one of these, which was not very appealing.

"Total relaxation in a lovely little cottage in a beautiful"

Location and the rustic feel of the property and area but with all the mod cons, thank for a lovely weekend in a cosy and comfortable cottage

Unfortunately the visit was too short
