The views were fantastic.

The property hasn’t had much care and attention. Maximum number is 4 guests not 7 The lounge sofa was a sofa bed which was uncomfortable. The surfaces were sticky. My wife had no seating with a mirror and power to do her hair and makeup

The location of the property and the scenic view it offers. Enjoyed the fire place with glass of wine. The house keeper was kind enough to provide us with fire wood and an ordinance map for the isle.

The location was fab, and the property itself was something to behold. Beautifully finished with everything one could need for a comfortable stay. Being in the “changeover business” myself, I know what little things to look out for to see if it’s properly cleaned and maintained, and this property certainly is. We very much enjoyed our stay and thank our hosts for making it so pleasant.

Needs some mirrors in the bedrooms. Only one bedside light

The entire house was well kept and information regarding what was available and where to find essentials was well provided in the booklet. View of the bay on the upper level was great.

Heating on the upper level was inadequate. We couldn't manage to have it warmer, hence hardly use the living room and kitchen in the evenings. Lugging the large luggages up the steps to the entrance was challenging.

The location was fabulous, and the views were stunning. It was very well equipped.

It’s a fairly new building, but whoever owns it now (I’m guessing it’s not the person who built it) isn’t interested in maintaining it, so it is beginning to fall into disrepair slowly which is a shame, and maintenance is everything in my view. I think that the people who clean the property do a good enough job, but they aren’t responsible for repairs etc. It’s only small things in my opinion but they mount up and kind of take away from the overall experience of staying in a home when you are away. Holes need filling in the walls, hooks that are no longer fixed to the doors, handrail that has come off the wall on the stairs, vertical Venetian blinds that are too long in the bedrooms and therefore don’t close property so make you feel exposed from the outside. Poorly kept exterior with very uneven steps that pose a potential hazard. Old duvet set in the bedroom that is clean but old so doesn’t make you feel good to sleep in. A cafetière that only makes enough coffee for 1.5 people when the property supposedly sleeps 6….. These are just some observations. I read back through previous reviews and discovered that many of these issues have been reported for over 3 years, and it strikes me that the owner isn’t interested in rectifying the issues which is a huge shame as I honestly feel that this property could get outstanding reviews. I also feel mean about highlighting them as I never complain about anything normally, so am only doing so to encourage the property owner to acknowledge the issues and put them right themselves.

The view was exceptional

Although the first few lines of the listing state that the property is is in Portree, it’s actually 20 minutes away…in Uig, which is in the region of Portree rather than the town itself.
