"Great stay for a short break"

8.0

Great location, enclosed large garden ideal for dogs, well equipped kitchen. Good pub within walking distance.

Bathroom needs updating and not great that the door to the bathroom is next to the dining table. Near to a railway line so there is train noises at night.

"Excellent cottage"

10.0

Lovely cottage, very well appointed, great location overlooking fields but close to village with pub, which is only 10 minute walk. Particularly liked having bath sheets to wrap up in after a fab shower. Plenty of walking straight from the cottage.

"Excellent location to Rutland Water"

9.0

The cottage was lovely and very close to Rutland water, you could walk to the local village pub and access the path round Rutland Water. I stayed with my mother and my three children. Everyone enjoyed the cottage and the setting. The children enjoyed rolling down the grass in the garden which has a small 'hill'. We had everything we needed in the kitchen including some dish washer tablets, washing up liquid and tea towels. Plenty of towels for the bathroom too. All in all a very nice mini break.

No dislikes I'd say if you are staying with anyone that finds steps difficult (as my nearly 80 year old mother does) that there are two small steps down to the bedrooms and back up if you need to visit the bathroom in the night. If we'd know ahead that the tv had a built in DVD player we'd have brought a DVD or two to play for the children in the evening, but we packed our own games which kept everyone happy.
