The Barn was spacious and cosy. We all enjoyed the view and its location. The hosts were super hospitable with extra welcome tokens that made the whole experience even nicer. Thank you!

Location was absolutely stunning. It was warm and spacious.

No black out blind so light woke us up early.

Fantastic value for money, two properties in a beautiful location. Great open space for cooking /dining Comfortable beds, good quality towels provided. Lovely touch with home baked bread/ cake left in each property. Good range of crockery/ utensils for cooking Good base to explore the area, we visited masham brewery, ice cream parlour with children's play area/ petting farm and easy access to North Allerton. Real Christmas in each property with baubles left for the children to decorate.

Water pressure was poor in kitchen/shower Sofas could do with updating in both properties

Very good stay. The cottage was spacious, well equipped and great selection of board games :). The host was very kind and contactable. The location had breathtaking views and provided choices of short walks or trips. I would come back if we visit the dales again.

Self catering, but the owners had left fresh bread and scones and jam, coffee, tea and milk. Very welcome! The location is beautiful and very peaceful.

Perhaps another pan or two as we were making our own meals. No big deal.

breakfast not provided but the host had left fresh home made bread and cakes, plus fresh flowers so it was very welcoming. The location and view were fantastic - if you like that rather bleak north yorkshire landscape - which we did! Lots of interesting things to see and do (many recommended in the well-kept visitors' log book) including Jenny Twigg and her Daughter Tib, How Stean Gorge and Upper Nidderdale. Also LAPWIIINGS!

There were some low beams esp in the master bedroom which were a problem for the taller guests (they opted for the second bedroom} The sofa bed was in the sitting room which had a cathedral ceiling with a minstrel's gallery and stairs which went up to the other bedrooms, so it had no privacy at all. The mattress on the sofa bed was not comfortable. Luckily for us the fifth guest was only there for one night so it wasn't a problem but I wouldn't recommend this for 3 couples.
