"Wonderful, really nice place to stay and would highly recommend"

10.0

The property was beautiful and in a lovely location, we all had a wonderful time, and our children loved exploring the area and cooling off in the stream across the field.

"Enjoyable few days away with family, weather was lovely so enjoyed the views, lovely walks and beaches."

7.0

The property was in a great location, very quiet and fantastic views.

My only complaint was the cleanliness, it had been cleaned but it’s very basic. I feel that with regular guests it needs a more thorough clean. Extremely dusty and a previous guests bra was down the back of the sofa.

"Excellent base camp for exploring Snowdonia"

8.0

Great place to stay for exploring the Snowdonia national park and Betws-y-coed. Lovely location, good facilities and plenty of parking. Lovely view from the property to sit outside with a beer and have a BBQ!

Not the property's fault, but at the time of our visit (June 2024) the footpath into town was closed and looks like it has been for a long time, with no sign of re-opening. Be aware rather than a 10 minute walk into town it is now about a 30 minute walk down the main road (on a footpath) instead.

"Perfect location and beautiful little cottage"

8.0

Fantastic location to all areas we wanted to see, and great to be so close to Betws-y-coed, which is beautiful. Lovely and comfortable cottage, beds were so lovely! Very quiet location, perfect for relaxing. Fire lovely to have and gave cosy feel. Host super helpful.

Overall cleanliness was great, but areas had been missed- under beds downstairs (kids jumper fell down the side of the bed onto the floor which is the only reason I know, I wasn’t checking! 😂), cupboard near fire, and down side of the sofas. But key areas were clean and lovely, and would stay again- just those extra bits would make it exceptional of us!

"Disappointing"

4.0

Having stayed here previously and had a lovely time I was so looking forward to returning. It wasn’t the most loved and clean of places but really cosy and these things didn’t affect our visit. Second time round wasn’t so great. I received checking -in instructions a couple of days before and was told the footbridge was closed for repairs. This was one of the main reasons I chose to stay again, so my mum and I would be able to walk easily into town. I assumed it had recently been closed, it turns out it has been closed for a long time. This information should be made available, this was one of the main reasons I decided to bring my mum here. Having just looked at reviews, someone else had also made this complaint nearly 2yrs ago in July 2022!!! Upon arrival the gate was falling apart and was tightly knotted with baler twine meaning it was difficult and annoying to have to deal with every time we left the property as well as being a security issue for the sheep. It was freezing cold (another complaint I have since read numerous times), damp with dead woodlice everywhere , including on the kitchen table. Table mats filthy, beautiful feature window, filthy, cobwebs everywhere. Generally grubby and lacked any kind of love. Such a shame as it is such a cosy, beautiful space. That evening we attempted to use the Tv… no wifi. Spent all evening trying to troubleshoot this. Gave up, decided to watch a dvd that was supplied… remote control didn’t work! How annoying when the dvd stopped working half way through and you couldn’t fast forward or rewind from the actual player itself. Note to anyone else… avoid the Michael McIntyre DVD ! With no Wi-Fi for the entirety of our stay, cosy evenings relaxing were out of the question, meaning we had to alter all of our plans. Host was on holiday, so contacted the alternative number supplied to us, to be told she was only supplying a cleaning service. Thank goodness Wales is so beautiful as our stay could have so easily been ruined.

"Second time I’ve stayed here, would happily stay again and recommend to friends"

Fabulous location, short walk from the town centre, charming, clean and well equipped cottage with ample room for a family or 4/5 friends. Extremely friendly and helpful host. Lots to do in the local area.
