The Wynd Cottage

Le cottage est très joliment aménagé et très cosy.

Le matériel pour la cuisine était très sommaire. Il était indiqué qu’il y a un sèche-linge mais ce n’était pas le cas. Il n’y avait pas de pendage pour faire sécher le linge. J’ai écrit au propriétaire ce sujet mais on ne m’a jamais répondu. Plusieurs vêtements lavés dans le sèche-linge sont ressortis avec de drôles de taches… Pas de produits de nettoyage non plus, mis à part du produit vaisselle, pas de balayette, balai ou aspirateur. Ennuyant si on veut un peu entretenir le lieu… heureusement qu’il n’est pas arrivé d’accident nécessitant un nettoyage. Le sol du salon était sale à notre arrivée et il y avait des poils d’animaux.

The cottage was OK . The drains outside the back door used to flood when we had showers. Also we were only left two bath towels per couple no hand towels, there was no cleaning products for us to clean ( toilet cleaner or hoover as we both had dogs it would have been nicer if we could have hooverd round before we left .The cottage was in a great position for walking into town and for some great walks we met a local in the blue bell pub who told us about a great beach were we could let the dogs have s good run in cresswell. Very friendly people.

Beautifully renovated cottage with great wood fittings and open stonework. Comfy bed and good shower room.

Could have had a little more crockery and there were no cleaning products to help guests keep it slick and span and help put their cleaners but very enjoyable stay.

Location, close to town,

On a noisy main road, needs a good clean everywhere, lots of cobwebs and dust, mould and damp on walls in lounge,

Second bedroom was very small Some of the furniture was of poor quality

We didn’t like the hosts attitude to criticism of the property. Our criticism included: - not suitable for four adults rather a family with two children. The description did not make this clear. - dust on the bedroom door panels - inadequate storage space and kitchen utensils included just two adult plates. - Flaking paint in two parts of the parts of the property - a dining table that needed propping up so it did not rock - a recycling wheely bin that was completely full - a drainage system that flooded when you take a shower, that blocks access to the bins. We asked for compensation but were told “if you want a free holiday, you have come to the wrong place”. We didn’t ask for a full refund, just recognition that the property was not up to scratch

Great location and very near the bus stop and a great very very dog friendly pub.

Design, cleanliness, location were all excellent and we can’t wait to return!
