Lake View Cottage

Comfortable, clean cottage with all facilities and items you would expect. Good views and easy access off A66.

There were too many reminders to leave the cottage on time at the end of our visit - several emails and texts making sure we are gone by 10am. Too much - one email would be fine. That made us feel unwelcome.

I like how quite the place. Place looks lovely. Everything you need for a home away from home holiday.

When we had trouble with the water, the emergency contact didn't answer and didn't get back to us at the time. They did email the next day, though. Emergency contact should be contactable anytime.

Very clean, well equipped kitchen, nice grounds and fabulous views front and back. Good location for exploring the northern lakes.

Accessible only via a couple of flights of steps (but worth it for the view from the terrace)

We loved our stay, the cottage was even nicer than we expected. Gorgeous views and very comfortable. Only downside during our stay was the smoke alarms going off for no reason, luckily was during the day and maintenance was available to assist.

If I had to say anything I’d say the couches were uncomfortable as constantly sliding down

Location is perfect, incredible view from the living room, clean, tidy, comfortable beds, good showers and bath, plenty of parking, peaceful.
