Lovely cottage in a quiet location yet a short drive to Dartmouth and beaches

Bed’s are a little on the soft side.

Could do with better black out blinds in the bedroom

The place was generally nice and clean

We arrived at 2am, it is not obvious where the lodge was with the email correspondence; they give a name not number so we don’t know where it is and there are lot! We spent half an hour in the middle of the pitch black night looking for the cottage with a torch and found it after climbing two sets of steps and going round the corner. Electricity & bathroom extractor had a an issue from the first day. Internet is applauding, didn’t work. I couldn’t attend my work calls, kids couldn’t use devices. No phone service as the location is too remote. Couldn’t contact company when needed help. Electric wiring buzzing noise from oven unsettling. Didn’t feel safe due to electricity issues throughout home. Main bedroom, bed springs were hard and poking through the mattress which made very uncomfortable sleeping. The other beds were fine, no problems. Kitchen was well equipped and living room comfortable except for Tiny TV, but games and books were a nice touch. Facilities of golf and spa were excellent. Staff very welcoming. Nice grounds. Company offered to send electrician but we were out and about it was not convenient. This property needs to be maintained better before guests arrive not during their visit. Overall, I would give it 6 out of 10, but I would not return.
