"A base in Elie."

6.0

The location . There were heaters so one could be warm. It was ok as a base but not to spend much time in.

I would not have called it a cottage. It was a narrow, ' plastered 'hut' in a back garden. The kitchenette was in a cupboard and it was a long narrow space. Probably perfect for two average size people who wanted to golf all day and be out in the evening.

"We had a lovely time during our stay."

Great little place to stay. Brilliant location.

It would have been good to have a little dustpan and brush to get rid of the sand we brought in on our shoes.

"Disappointing and hugely overpriced."

5.0

The location and the garden. Nice to sit in the sunshine.

Very small indeed. Very basic accommodation. Lumpy beds and uncomfortable settee. Nobody around and no answer to 2 messages via website and 1 phone call. There we no instructions left. There was no tea towel and no washing up cloth. There was no cafetière for making coffee. The toiletries were a half-used cheap bottle of shower gel and a bottle of dandruff shampoo.

Fab location. Cute set up. All you need. Well equipped with the kitchen in a cupboard, although it could do with a sharp knife. Comfy bed, WiFi worked fine.

Slightly tricky to find but fine in the end. Only a bread knife Very minor quibbles, would stay again

"Weekend away"

10.0

Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Tea, coffee etc provided and Robert the owner came to see if we needed any milk etc. We were not in the cottage for any length of time as our Grandaughter was getting married locally so was just a base for us to shower and sleep. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom too. As the weather was good my hubby made good use of the outdoor seating area. We would certainly recommend this cottage.

Everything perfect

"Very disappointing."

3.0

The location was good.

My wife and I are both disabled / partially disabled, and this wasn't made sufficiently clear either by the hosts or by Booking.com. It would have been very difficult to move our luggage from the car to the property. The host did offer to help us do this. However, because the bathroom facilities were very cramped and not easily negotiable, we phoned him to say that we would not be staying.

"Loved it booking today to secure a visit back for a week."

10.0

Needed a base to sleep, very comfortable twin beds. Shower, toilet, handbasin off bedroom small but adequte. Place to sometimes eat light eve meal as out on go every day mainly eating out. Kitchen unit with Microwave, or glass ring top, no oven but i didnt intend to spend time cooking. Table with 4 chairs , sofa . I come from Edinburgh i would say its a granny flat in large garden not a cottage.Bus service every hour right across the road, we travelled to St Monans less than 10 minutes, Pittenweem in 15 minutes, Anstruther 25 minutes, Crail 35 minutes. Bus is great as not much car parking in busy season. Shops are few but excellent bakers open 8.30 till 2pm hairdresser if needed 2pm, top quality harbour gift shop that also sells takeaway coffee and cake. Friendly newsagent, chemist, amazing deli with eveything you can think of from top deli. Beaches around the harbour are so clean there are saunas on the beach. Plenty places to walk. Ship in pub and food always busy, carparking in area not a lot of so beware.

No faults with where i stayed. Or any place i visited.
