Grooms cottage

Highly recommend this place , was lovely clean and comfortable.

Would recommend thay put a do not switch the hot tub off at the main switch. We only had one use of hot tub as I switched the main switch of when finished . We couldn't use hottub for our stay as they had to call the maintenance man out . So very disappointed as we couldn't use hot tub during our stay. That was one of the reasons to stay there . Apart from that 100% .

The hot tub was a real bonus. We only stayed 2 nights so didn't need the washing machine or tumble dryer but were impressed by them, the log burner, and also by the small but sunny back garden with washing line and kennel, and the amazing pots of flowers out the front. We quite liked all the friendly dogs around but if you don't like dogs this place is not for you.

Only 2 minor points but we couldn't find a tea pot and I had expected to find washing up liquid in the kitchen.

We liked the location and it was a bonus to have a multi bedroom property so we didn’t have to share a bedtime with the kids. As it’s a working equestrian centre it was nice to see an array of animals and activity. The kids loved the hut tub and trampoline 😁

There wasn't really anything that we did like none of the plants in the pictures was at the front of the cottage it look more of a mess in front of the cottage and on the side was building rubbish photos are outdated was not worth £125 a night

Everything felt a bit cramp the kids bedroom was like a cupboard with a small little bunk bed the room was around 4ftx8ft maybe even smaller my daughter did not want to stay in there, the kitchen was tiny aswell 1 person at a time. Hot water pressure from the taps was awful didn't even try the electric shower. Wifi didn't work properly dropped out all the time really annoying if you want to watch Netflix on your phone as you cant connect to your Netflix account via the outdated tv. Grass in the garden was soggy like walking in mud. Hot tub water was dirty brown colour looked like the water hasn't been changed in a while and you have to walk across the court yard to get to the hot tub. We did not stay even for one night i booked something else and we left as we didn't feel that we wanted to stay there

2nd bedroom with bunks very small.

The location was perfect for visiting family However it is also excellent for exploring the local area. Lots to do and see. We will come back The cottage was cosy and clean and excellent for our dog too.

Nothing except the weather

Not much to be honest. With all this bad weather unfortunately the garden was a bog house front was muddy lots of large pot holes that you couldn't see in dark . . Shower was a trickle as was sink when washing dishes. . My partner couldn't wash her hair as she wasn't confident of getting all shampoo rinsed. Left 2 days Early. Didn't use hot tub but it's located across from your parking area . Not your private garden.
