Very clean, stylish, comfortable, quiet, lots of space

Maybe add an outdoor security light

Lovely little house, very clean and well-maintained. Shower room immaculate with good water pressure. Host very responsive and helpful. The house is right next to a big green space. Hosts kindly put up a xmas tree and decorations for our stay.

Older folk and people with little kids should be aware the staircase is very steep and the washrooms are on a different floor to the bedrooms, requiring use of the staircase during the night. For light sleepers there is a neighbour who keeps chickens. They were not brutal, like a rooster, but as we were jet-lagged and sleeping lightly they did bother us the first couple of days. Earplugs did the trick.

Good location, 10 mins walk from town and 2 min walk from pretty park. Lovely dining room and lounge. Very cosy and comfy house generally.

A couple of things need attention for it to be a perfect stay.

Location and the cleanliness

Maybe a curtain for the front door and side window that was pretty scary in the night time.

Very well furnished. Good location.

Quite a few cobwebs however it was still clean. Step staircase and big drop at front step.

The interior was well presented and very clean. Although we only used the microwave, and fridge, the house was fully equipped. It was an easy 15 minute walk to the town centre. Parking for one car, or maybe two if they are small. Host was quick to answer any questions before our arrival. Tesco a short distance away. Would stop there again with our family.

Three small things, but worth a mention. The weather was brilliant when we stayed in August, but the grass in the back garden had not been cut for a while. Therefore it was not ideal for the grand kids to play in the secure back garden. Felt the back garden let down the rest of the house and lacked maintenance. One of the main bedroom bedside lights was not working. I know it is a little thing, but the downstairs toilet door was so squeaky that it woke up the grandchildren in bed upstairs. Some washing liquid was a temp fix. Received two emails with leaving the property instructions the day after checkout!
