The Cottage

The Cottage is in a wonderful location, while it didn't have allocated car parking, there was easy free street parking inwil 50 meters for us. The cottage is perfect for a couple to spend a few days in Dunblane, it is very comfortable to retreat from the travels and have your own haven.

Nothing couldn't fault it

Very tastefully presented. Every thing you need to be totally independent for self catering. Lovely garden to sit in with exceptional views. All equipment easy to use.

Minor issue with parking for loading and unloading but easily resolved with Jo. The staircase is steep for access to bedroom and bathroom. Just be aware of this as is the climb to the garden area.

position, decor, the bed, the bath and shower the garden and view though people also need warned of the steep approach

steep stairs people need warned about induction hob we couldn’t work and no instructions in English (we have an induction job at home) needed clearer instructions re heating downstairs did not heat well without the log burner which was not always easy to light

It felt like a home away from home with lovely personal touches to make us feel so welcome & comfortable.

What’s not to like???

Log fire was lovely. Standing bathtub was amazing. Had everything we needed, from toilet roll to bath soaps and washing tablets.

The front door was difficult to close. The bed is only a double and was too firm for our liking. Although not used the freezer was abit dirty. Kindling, fore starter and extra wood was difficult to aquire. Lights flickered every no and again and when turning other lights on/off
