Clean, modern yet in a quiet country location

Everything you could possibly need ! Setting was beautiful too and so peaceful . Hosts were lovely and have gone the extra mile to make sure we had the most relaxing holiday .

The hosts were very friendly and always ready to answer all our questions. The house is in a very quiet spot, with lots of outside space that you can fully enjoy, especially if you have a pet. Lastly, the hot tub is the best way to spend a lazy afternoon or to relax in the evening after a nice walk somewhere on the island.

The only small issue we had was with the sofa bed, which can't be a little uncomfortable, especially if you are planning on spending more than 2/3 nights at the venue.

LOCATION - Great central location which is quiet PARKING - Brilliant to come back after a day out and be able to park MANAGEMENT TEAM - Both were very pleasant and welcomed us with a bottle of wine THOUGHTFULNESS - A lovely vase of fresh roses in both the lounge and bedroom BEDROOM - Very spacious. Colour is now blue and not white as shown on booking.com. Mattress was spotless and bedding cleaned by laundry firm so felt clean and safe to sleep in. KITCHEN - Plenty of glasses for any type of drink, quantity of crockery.

CLEANLINESS - Crumbs in most drawers, grime on ledges of wall kitchen cupboards, floors not deep cleaned as I wiped some hand cream up that I spilt and the tissue was filthy, balls of old dust wedged in the framework on the doors, Encrusted dirt on lower shower door strip, dust on various surfaces in hallway, ground in food on worktop that I scraped off with a knife and cleaned, the hob has burnt on grime so requires a deep clean. Kettle needed rinsing out several times. Not sure it had ever been descaled. MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP FOR £200 a night property- I did expect better and have stayed in better for the price. photos on Booking. com are out of date and the property is tired and not maintained to a good standard for £200pn especially with the pandemic being so recent. There is no TV in the bedroom as shown in the photos, the furniture does not coordinate as the modern ghost chairs in the photo have been replaced with very worn farmhouse dining chairs, there is a plastic coffee table with cracks, the leather rocking chair has worn tears on the rear, there has been a hole in the wall near the fireplace which has just been filled with foam, wooden kitchen table is faded in places, the microwave is yellowing, dirt in the dials and interior is peeling which is a health hazard in my opinion, the toaster was dirty and had to be cleaned, there is a handle missing on one of the bedroom cupboards, there is a missing vent above the patio doors, electric radiators are. worn/shabby/chipped, worn door thresholds ( just need sanding and varnish), plates and dishes are from several sets of crockery, tap washer needs replacing in the kitchen, bath mats have ground in dirt,sink plug holes have very little chrome left on them.

location perfect, seemed like we was miles from civilisation but we really wasn’t. it felt so homely, we’d honestly live there.
