"A really lovely property"

10.0

I travelled with my partner on a post Christmas new year getaway to do some walking and sightseeing, Keswick is really well located to use as a base for exploring the northern Lake District. The communication from the host prior to my trip was very good and on arrival I was really impressed with how clean, nicely furnished and spacious the apartment was, it really is surprisingly large which doesn't come over in the photos. It also felt like we were staying in someone's home rather than just a rental, the facilities were excellent and we didn't want for anything especially the kitchen which enabled us to self-cater with ease and the lovely bathroom which was huge and despite the very cold winter temperatures the whole place was always cosy and warm. The location of the property was nice and quiet but really handy for walking into town where Keswick was buzzing, I don't think I've ever seen so many dogs in a town it's full of pubs and paces to eat and shop and the excellent Booths which is like a Waitrose on steroids ! As well as being only a 30 minute drive down to the southern area of the lakes where we had a great walk around Grizedale we also did some excellent walks straight from the door around Derwent Water via Catbels and along the old railway line to Threlkeld and a quick stroll up to Castlerigg, there is so much to do right on your doorstep. All in all Aura stands out as being right up there with the best accommodation I've stayed in and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I really can't fault it, everything was just perfect, we had a lovely time.

"Brilliant, we will return!"

9.0

Fabulous location, good quality bedding & towels, spotlessly clean and very well equipped.

A full size dishwasher would have been a bonus but wasn’t a dealbreaker as everything else was perfect.

"Great value and comfortable apartment."

9.0

It was near to town. It was very well equipped especially the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and it was good to have other duvets and pillows available as the feather ones were too warm for us.

The tv is on the small size and it would be good to have a footstool to rest tired feet and legs after a long walk.

"Okay."

5.0

The apartment was very well equipped, had plenty of space and the beds very very comfy. Additionally, the location was perfect- quiet but accessible.

The apartment lacked cleanliness- cobwebs on the ceiling and walls and some of the pots and pans were greasy. The balcony looks like it is about to collapse, which is a shame as it is a welcome addition. Generally unloved?
