Kerns Cottage Stratford-upon-Avon

Kern's cottage was home from home, exceptionally clean & comfortable. Lovely little gardens back & front. Everything that we came to Stratford-upon-Avon for was within a 10 minute walking distance. Will definitely think about staying again.

Absolutely nothing to dislike!

Clean and well maintained property, decorated nicely. In a great location for a quick walk into Stratford and benefiting from parking. If you look right out of the street you see Shakespeare’s birthplace. If you look left, you see the entrance to the canal and can walk down here to the town centre basin. Kitchen was well very well equipped for cooking - better than most I’ve stayed in. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. The yard was nice to sit in and secure for the dogs. Host was lovely and responsive and helpful.

There wasn’t a whole lot to dislike. Things that we think would make the property even better though would be black out curtains in the bedrooms, as the light beamed through from 5am and woke us early every day. We are a family of 3 and found ourselves racing to bag a seat on the only sofa too, so even though the chairs look lovely I would still swap them with a small sofa for comfort.

Lovely terraced house next to the canal and about 5 minutes walk from town. We were there on a very sunny week, but the house kept relatively cool inside, which was perfect for us. Very small private area to the rear that gets the sun in the morning and shade at night, small private garden to the front was the opposite, so you could choose if you wanted to sit in the sun, or keep cool in the shade. Well equipped and comfortable. We would definitely return to Kerns Cottage.

Very convenient for walking into Stratford upon Avon. Very quiet spot.
