the Beach House

The Beach House was private and secure, clean and well equipped. The owner provided very clear and easy instructions to find and gain entry. She provided a little hamper of snacks, milk in the fridge and butter portions, tea and coffee etc which was so helpful as we were travelling light and on public transport for our weekend in Margate. The bed is very comfortable, as was the small sofa & there is also some outside furniture and even deck chairs and umbrella to take to the beach.

There really wasn't anything that we didn't like!

The place was so clean and cozy. There were plenty of coffee, tea, and milk in the fridge, as well as some treats. The sofa and bed were very comfortable, and the WiFi connection was excellent. We couldn't ask for more!

I like that it was so private and secure with fences all around and a gate that locked. On arrival it was spotlessly clean and there was Classic FM playing on the smart speaker and the AC was on, which was really welcome as it was such a hot day. There were so many ‘extras’ at this property, milk and butter in the fridge, tea, coffee (a nespresso pod machine), little boxes of cereal, biscuits, crumpets, crisps all displayed in baskets. The bathroom had gorgeous smelling hand soap, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The towels were big, soft and luxurious (and smelt divine) and the bedding was luxury quality too. It really was like a luxury hotel suite. There was AC in the lounge and the bedroom which is fab for these hot summer days, a real treat. I also really liked that there was a hoover and cleaning supplies under the sink. I do like to leave a place clean and a lot of places I’ve stayed don’t think to leave you anything more than a dustpan and brush. Ideally situated to visit lots of places, we really loved Minnis Bay and a walk from Reculver to Herne Bay, very dog friendly area too.

Not the owners fault at all but the road was closed just near the property with what I assume are major road works on Canterbury Rd. This caused a lot of noise from the traffic waiting at the temporary lights.

Everything was amazing. The place is super clean. All towels and bedding smelled great. There is a toaster,kettle, microwave and a coffee machine with capsules. Very good communication from the host. Air conditioning in both rooms. Comfy bed.Hairdryer and steam iron. Private entrance and self check-in. Very close to the beach and town. Free parking in front of the house. Dog friendly. Milk, butter and some snacks waiting for us, saved us from going to the shop late at night when we arrived.

A lovely little place to stay. It was so cosy and felt like home. On arrival Angie had left a nice welcome hamper including gluten free and lactose free items for myself which was so thoughtful. The bed was super comfy and we had a great couple of nights sleep. Our little miniture daschunds loved the outside space and walks along the beach. We had a fabulous time and will definately book to stay again soon.
