the dodgy light switch, which fused the electricity. This is a simple fix, I found it strange that this wasn't fixed before it was rented out! Apart from that, it's a good place to stay!

Cottage was a great size, had all the amenities we needed. Great location for the wedding we were attending at Brockholes.

Lack of a garden for letting dogs out - there were not many places nearby where dogs could run around so that was a bit difficult, and the car parking area was not very appropriate for dogs as there was a lot of rubbish and machinery. Bed mattress was comfy but sank in the middle - maybe needs replaced.

Very cute little holiday home, will stay again and probably for longer.

Could have been better… The house was freezing, the radiators came on when we finally worked out how to use the heating system (no instructions, guide given), and they were luke warm if that, we went to bed at 9:30, as the open plan living room kitchen was freezing. There is no blind in the bathroom although the glass is frosted, you can still see every thing from outside, some parts of the house were immaculate, the bedroom and bathroom, with lovely big towels, however the kitchen was dirty, dirty cutlery, there was tobacco all over the kitchen work top and not a sponge or tea towel in site, so I could clean up the precious guests mess. We woke up in the morning to water all over the floor in front of the fridge as it had leaked. My husband arrived to check in and wasn’t exactly sure where he was going, so he called the number given, but there was no answer, it just made the check in experience more stressful than necessary. We have our own cottages in the Lake District that we let out, so we can appreciate some times things can be difficult. We stay in Whalley often, and are always open to trying new places, but sadly we wouldn’t return.

Perfect location. Great yard with gates to allow dog out in enclosed area
