"A very relaxing stay, the perfect weekend getaway if you're looking for somewhere peaceful"

The lodge was very clean and kept to a very high standard, situated in a very peaceful area. the hot tub was clean and always up to temperature with built in LED lights that allow you to choose different colours, absolutely perfect for the dark January evenings that we stayed. The lounge was a great size and very comfortable with a lovely warm illuminating fire place, the perfect place to relax and watch tv after being in the hot tub, we had food from the onsite restaurant, it was all fresh cooked and the portions where huge, all the staff in the restaurant where very welcoming and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxed, would recommend!

It wasn't an issue for us but a coffee machine would be a great addition to this lodge, the lodge does however have an old skool caffettiere that we discovered in one of the kitchen cupboards so if like us you enjoy a good coffee when you wake up in a morning remember to bring some ground coffee with you so you can make one!

Good location, great lodge, lovely hot tub. Everything you need for a good stay.

Could have been cleaner but wasn’t to bad. Bathroom bins were full of somebody else’s rubbish. Mattress on bed really needs to be replaced. Missing towels.

"Absolutely fantastic - lovely location and excellent property."

Hot tub was always readily warm for us to use. Whole place was modern, well kept and clean. Hot tub cleaned daily. Heating worked very well, really warm throughout despite cold weather. 17 minutes to park and ride for York, which was really quick and convenient, and cheaper than city centre parking.

Shower was fantastic, warmed up immediately, but water did spray onto the floor despite using the screen and pointing hose away.

The location was beautiful & quiet. The lodge itself was very spacious and very tastefully decorated. The sofas were very firm but the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was lovely too.

No detailed welcome pack & lack of cleaning products which would have been better so we could clean up properly.
