Comfy beds, beautiful surroundings, milk in the fridge and teabags/ coffee.

Boiler was not working on arrival, so no heating or hot water. We managed to get the boiler going, but this should really have not been something required. Contact details on paperwork were for old owners.

From initial booking to staying the owner was very welcoming and the van was like a home from home and well equipped for all my needs. It was comfortable and clean and little touches like milk and tea coffee and shortbread was nice. The location was perfect for my solo motorcycle tour and have used this site over 5 times in different caravans. Highly recommend 👌 Be ideal for families or groups people on site very friendly.

Having to leave.

The host was very kind and helpful. The chalet was spotless. The site is very quiet and well kept.

The only minor issue is the site location: - There is no pavement going into Dornoch, so if you want to walk, you will need to walk on a 60mph road (dangerous at night). - Whilst dogs are welcome, they are not allowed to do their business on or around the site. Due to the lack of pavement, they cannot be walked in the vicinity of the chalet. Therefore, a short drive to the beach/town is required when walking the dog.

The price for the week was very reasonable and I think appropriate. I wouldn’t expect this property to get high ratings, but you get value for the price. All of the properties in the park were well maintained and the park is quiet. It’s obvious the people living there take great care of their properties.

The unit had a remote thermostat which was left in an area that wasn’t easily found. It was set to 17 degrees and cold when we arrived. I messaged the owner about wifi and the thermostat, but never heard back. Luckily we found the thermostat. It was equipped with a few basics like dish washing soap, toilet paper, and trash bags. It would have been nice to also have a roll of paper towels and a box of tissues to get us started before we went to the store.

With respect, there was nothing I actually liked about this caravan! So much so that I couldn't stay in it. The owner was very understanding and said this property really needed an upgrade! They moved me to another caravan they owned on the site, it was beautiful and I had an enjoyable holiday. Only fault in thd second van - No WiFi was avaliable!

On entering the property I was instantly hit with a musty smell. It was quite dark in the lounge/kitchen area, the sofa was grubby looking, and the laminate on top of the dining table was bubbled. It was not a very welcoming sight! I proceeded through to the double bedroom and was instantly hit with a stale cigarette smell, I actually could taste it in my mouth! The headboard was cloth but again looked dirty. I went to open the window and noticed the surround was quite dirty, I gave it a wash and it looked better. In the twin bedded room the mattress on one of the beds needs replacing, it was indented in the middle!! I went back to the lounge area and read the customer comments book, I thought I was standing in a different property!! Unfortunately, I think the photos on Booking.com were perhaps taken when the caravan was relatively new as they did not reflect what I was looking at. I decided I could not stay in this van and phoned the owners, they were very good, couldn't have been more helpful, they moved me to a different property immediately. Until renovations and a deep clean is carried out, I would not recommend this property.
