"Lovely little cottage in the woods."

8.0

A lovely little cottage set back from the main road with a host of quirky features. A gazebo next to the pond and a barbecue area next to the cottage - perfect for either sunshine or shower. Plenty of wildlife nearby - put out some peanuts, seeds and fat-balls and you’ll soon be watching jays, bullfinches, woodpeckers and red squirrels from you armchair. All the amenities of home available.

If the breeze drops - take a midge net or hide in the gazebo. It is very sheltered.

Location was perfect, beautiful, spacious garden with red squirrels playing at the windows.

Initial arrival very cold no heating on although previous guests left 6 hrs prior. Perhaps cleaners should be advised to leave heating on when new guests are due to arrive. Overly decorated with staghorns in a very small space. Fridge is way too small for 4 people. Fire timber is wet due to inadequate storage facilities. Limited cooking equipment, timber breadboard crumbling and turning to sawdust definitely needs replaced, a few extra dishes for oven would improve matters. Extension of carparking by a few meters would allow 2 cars to park easily. There is plenty of space to allow this.

"A Walking Holiday"

8.0

Bedroom was a good size with a comfortable bed. Ideal for walks to Benmore Gardens and Puck's Glen on our doorstep. The garden is very pretty with a lovely pond and plenty seating if going in the summer. There's a summer house too.

It was cold and damp on arrival and took more than 24 hours to heat up. Although gardens are very pretty, it's partially fenced and not ideal for a dog that likes to wander, especially when the main road is on the boundary.
